We have decided to change the Teams page to be the Liverpool Match Posts page, so look for posts talking about the latest Liverpool match there.

But most of the posts still go to the Liverpool Banter page.

Éder Militão
Have Liverpool looked at this guy?
Thank you!

Believable7 0Unbelievable

{Ed0333's Note - Ed’s 002 has said he’s valued at a whopping €120 million

20 Jan 2019 01:48:07
I thought the 120m was for Felix from Benefica. Eder plays for FC Porto I believe.

Agree2 0Disagree

{Ed0333's Note - my bad I had to much sauce last night and my editing is suffering as a result

20 Jan 2019 02:00:37
It's okay must have been hell of a night, I am more intrigued about that now then this rumour.

Agree3 1Disagree

{Ed0333's Note - I might be ancient but I can still disco mate 🤣. When I mean disco I mean 3 glasses of pink champagne and a wasabi martini. Which translates to I’m a massive lightweight.

20 Jan 2019 08:45:25
Might be mistaken but I think Ed002 might of mentioned he’s going to Real Madrid in the sharkopod. Sure there’s strong interest from real so I’d expect a move there for the player.

Is there anything that's come from a credible source that we made a bid for Joa Felix guy from Benfica?

If there was any could we not involve Markovic in any kind of deal, if they would take him.

Believable2 2Unbelievable

{Ed002's Note - The asking price is around €120M. Why would they take Markovic as part of any “deal”?}

19 Jan 2019 18:47:02
I just meant in a sense of us offering him in some way, as he played for them prior to us and may have interested if there were losing a player.

Agree0 0Disagree

{Ed002's Note - He can sign a contract with them now - and move in the summer.}

19 Jan 2019 18:50:45
ED@2! Do you see us coming back with an improved offer for him? Thanks a lot for your efforts!

Agree0 0Disagree

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any offer - and the asking price is €120M.}

19 Jan 2019 23:33:54
Take it there is zero truth in any interest or bid from us at all?

Agree0 1Disagree

20 Jan 2019 00:14:11
he’s too weak for the premier league as it stands and I’d say it isn’t in Liverpool’s character to drop 70million + on a relatively unproven player yet.

Agree6 0Disagree

20 Jan 2019 06:09:44
Do you envisage any clubs making a move for him at that price ED? I know half of Europe has been watching him but, as good as he may be, that sort of price tag could put off even the biggest of spenders - I certainly wouldn't imagine Liverpool stumping up that sort of money.

Agree0 0Disagree

{Ed002's Note - There has been declared interest in him from Barcelona, Manchester City, Monaco and Manchester United - that started with Mr Mourinho a couple of years ago. He has recently signed a long term contract and they do not wish to sell and the player is happy.}

20 Jan 2019 13:15:11
Thanks for the response ED, appreciated.

Agree0 0Disagree

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome. But without checking I am not aware of any offer from Liverpool - and if there were they should know it would need a very significant offer.}

19 Jan 2019 10:55:03
do you think we will see an increase in loan deals nearer the end of the window for some of our U23's?

Believable1 2Unbelievable

{Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware.}

19 Jan 2019 19:38:14
Any teams looking at Woodburn?

Agree2 0Disagree

{Ed0333's Note - it’s amazing how far his star has fallen. From knocking on the first team door to being shunned by Sheffield Wednesday. I wonder what will become of the boy.?

19 Jan 2019 21:07:00
I'd love Woodburn to go to Leeds. Sure, he won't be first choice, but he'll get minutes and in a system that will suit him.

Yeah what has gone wrong with this kid?

Agree0 1Disagree

20 Jan 2019 00:16:50
Tbf Harry Wilson went to Crewe at a similar age and barely made a dent. He has time on his side.

Agree5 0Disagree

19 Jan 2019 23:56:53
I have never seen him have a good game for us. Just not up to standard. I think he should be moved on personally. Shame but will likely ply his trade in lower divisions.

Agree1 2Disagree

20 Jan 2019 14:44:29
Just not improved and maybe there's issues behind the scenes with his attitude.

Agree0 0Disagree

{Ed001's Note - he is just a kid who is still growing, far too soon to write him off, no matter how his spell with Sheff Utd is going.}

20 Jan 2019 23:33:46
Lfcbadboy the lad is just 6 months or so older than say Rashford was when he played his 1st game for Utd, and if I remember rightly that was only because of an injury crisis at Old Trafford. Not saying he's going to be as good as Rashford but some perspective is needed. He was 18 and went on a loan that didn't work out and 6 months has been largely wasted but like a poster said earlier Wilson had a similarly disappointing loan at that age. if he gets a decent loan at a championship team and plays between now and the end of the season i'd imagine he would still be one of the youngest players in what is a very competitive league.

Being reported we have submitted a bid of around £61-65 million for Joao Felix.

Believable6 13Unbelievable

18 Jan 2019 21:21:48
Nice little player, but far too early for a PL move imo.

Agree6 3Disagree

Surprising if we are looking to spend that much, fake news I think.

18 Jan 2019 21:38:16
And been rejected. His buyout is 105 million. can't see the story being true tho does look a talented kid.

18 Jan 2019 22:34:02
That’s a hell of a lot of money for a kid. can't see this happening!

Agree2 3Disagree

18 Jan 2019 22:35:19
Ruben Dias plays for Benefica and Ed did say we were scouting him. The papers think we need an attacking midfielder and probably saw a scout with his credentials. Made up the story and went from there, unless any of the Eds can say otherwise.

Agree4 4Disagree

18 Jan 2019 23:52:52
Actually I disagree that it’s too early for a (hypothetical) move. He’s an absolute raw talent and unlike a lot of our youngsters who I think aren’t ready for the spotlight, Felix looks like he wants to own it. He would need to bulk up to compete in the PL. He immediately looks like a player to employ in the 60th minute against park the bus teams to show off flare and build experience but I do see a spark in this kid that reminds me of a young (not the Brazilian) Ronaldo. Rant over 😁.

19 Jan 2019 01:59:56
He can be our next Markovic.

19 Jan 2019 06:54:55
But Markovic bought by Brendan Roger, RedEka.

If he’a still a raw talent, move off . We alr hv one in talented Curtis Jones!

The Euromillions is looking quite tasty tonight Salah. I won't win but one can always dream.

Agree2 2Disagree

18 Jan 2019 23:56:51
I hope Origi does. He’s been big for us a few times but general attitude is sluggish and no chemistry. I actually think Origi is being held back by our style of play and could progress his career with another team like West Ham. I would say thanks for the drive and on your way lad. All the best.

Agree3 0Disagree

19 Jan 2019 00:08:57
If this young kid can keep his head he has the potential to be huge. I wouldn't be surprised if LFC were after him but where they might get the money, who knows. Maybe we could all chip in? :)

Agree1 1Disagree

19 Jan 2019 08:12:47
Who are you on about polecat?

Origi is our player.

Agree3 0Disagree

19 Jan 2019 09:35:44
Absolute rubbish thatrumour, for two reasons, we would not bid that much for an unproven kid in portugal, and if we had of made that bid, they would of snapped our hands off. Some one not very smart has got to much time on there hands.

Agree1 1Disagree

{Ed002's Note - They would not snap anyone's hand off at that price - they want much more as they have explained to the interested sides.}

19 Jan 2019 09:40:08

It would appear that over the past few days we're being linked with players - Ciro Immobile, Weston Mckennie, Fekir again (I know that one is tripe) - where as previously it was very quiet.

Do you see us dipping into the market or staying as we are?

Believable1 17Unbelievable

17 Jan 2019 20:10:02
Where do you see Ciro Immobile fitting in? That would be a massive waste of money and I think the powers that be know better than to go for a transfer like that.

Where did you even read this rumour?

Agree9 6Disagree

17 Jan 2019 21:22:24
It's been all over the web today Eric.

Nonsense in my opinion. Klopp sold Immobile after he flopped emphatically at Dortmund. Not sure he'd give him another chance. He's improved a lot since those days, but I'm still not convinced.

Agree13 2Disagree

17 Jan 2019 21:33:42
I very much doubt Immobile and Klopp would want to work together again. I think he's very much suited to Serie A as well, no idea why he'd leave that league now.

Weston Mckennie seems like a random name. Even if that was on the cards - which it probably isn't - that's one for the summer, surely?

Agree3 0Disagree

18 Jan 2019 09:55:58
He is to static.

Agree2 0Disagree

18 Jan 2019 10:56:45
I can only potentially see us going for a fullback if someone good unexpectedly became available (to replace Clyne), or perhaps an outside chance of a forward (but again only if some really special became available, and also Sturridge or Origi were to leave) .

On balance I suspect neither will happen and we will continue with our current squad which is just fine by me.

Agree0 1Disagree

18 Jan 2019 13:28:09
Immobile must be the most unfortunate name ever for a footballer.

17 Jan 2019 20:58:19
Can’t see a move happening until the summer but I’ll be happily surprised. I would’ve thought a team like Bournemouth would be a better suit?

A quick question in regards to the rumour that Klopp is considering a cheap reliable midfielder this month. Would there be any chance he looks at Adrien Rabiot? PSG have apparently named there price for him to go this month. Or would it not be a case of his wages being the stumbling block? It's said Klopp is looking for a loan or a cheap buy. I know it would present Klopp with more problems also trying to get them in to the team but it seems our midfield players have been well managed and rotated as and when the time has called for.

Believable0 8Unbelievable

16 Jan 2019 22:22:40
Would love this move think he'd replace Milner next year if he decides to move for more football but its pretty much nailed on Rabiot is going to Barcelona. Seems to be what the player wants.

Agree0 2Disagree

16 Jan 2019 22:23:03
Would he be cheap? Also doesn't the lad have attitude issues, not sure if that's true but maybe Ed001 can confirm? If that is the case then I wouldn't risk upsetting the squad at this point in the season just for a bit of cover in an area of the pitch we're the most stocked in.

Agree0 0Disagree

{Ed001's Note - it depends on what you call attitude issues. He refused to be on stand by for the French squad in the summer, for instance, that is the kind of thing he has done.}

16 Jan 2019 23:29:12
I'd go back to Southampton and take Romeu. Think he'd make an excellent backup player.

Agree1 18Disagree

16 Jan 2019 23:39:22
From a Chelsea fan- steer well clear. I remember we were linked with him as a youngster and his mother (agent) was described as abhorrent to deal with.

Agree4 1Disagree

17 Jan 2019 05:32:30
He does seem to have a bit of an attitude issue but it's really his mother/ agent that I want us to steer clear of. No amount of talent and quality he possesses will convince me that it'd be worth taking on his mother.

Agree3 0Disagree

17 Jan 2019 06:02:44
10 million euros signing on fee and wages equivalent to what Salah makes hardly qualifies as a cheap option.

Agree5 0Disagree

17 Jan 2019 10:05:09
Red Ted, i would not waste my time with Romeu, Jurgens record of picking up great players from relegated teams, [Wijnaldum, Robertson, Shaquiri over the last three seasons could continue at the end of this season when Huddersfield go down, and we could go in for Mooy, who i think is a very good and under rated player who could fit into a number of positions in our midfield, anddo a more than descent job as a cover/ replacement for both Milner and Lallana, and should not break the bank either.

Agree2 8Disagree

{Ed001's Note - oh god please no! Overrated if anything. So slow he would be completely unable to play in Klopp's system.}

17 Jan 2019 10:58:02
Only four players I'd think about getting from Huddersfield would be Jonas Lossl as a backup GK but he is 29 and would want first team football Philip Billing he seems to have something about him, Mathias Jorgensen. Erik Durm is not a bad LB as a back up option played plenty of times LB and RB.

Agree0 0Disagree

17 Jan 2019 12:03:40
Aaron Mooy would be a cheap and reliable midfielder.

Agree0 7Disagree

{Ed001's Note - and crap.}

17 Jan 2019 12:14:25
Malcolm on loan would be neat.

Agree1 2Disagree

{Ed002's Note - Zero chance.}

17 Jan 2019 12:24:42
Love it Ed001 😂.

Agree1 0Disagree

17 Jan 2019 15:03:02
Kloppers - I definitely agree, let's go for all three and get a bit of Danish talent back to Anfield!

Agree0 0Disagree

17 Jan 2019 20:58:37
I really don’t think we need to be disrupting the squad in this window after this next game we have a 10 day break in which matip and Gomez and lovren should return also lallana and keita need to step up . Trent is a blow but we have very good players than can fill in and adapt all throughout the team . New players coming in will only interrupt our flow and solidarity in my opinion . Come on the red men give us what we crave 🤞🏻.

16 Jan 2019 17:56:30
Telegraph are reporting that Tottenham are interested in Origi, any truth in this?

Believable1 18Unbelievable

16 Jan 2019 18:40:18
I'd find it as unlikely/ foolish. Origi is not better than Llorente. Surely if they were going to go for a loan to cover for Kane's injury, Batshuayi would be a better option?

I know he's not a top calibre forward, but I think he's better than Origi.

Agree1 23Disagree

16 Jan 2019 19:31:35
By no means am I saying this is true, just posting what I read, I think Llorente is as good as gone and Batshuay is off to Monaco.

Agree1 13Disagree

16 Jan 2019 19:37:09
I despair of posters who give such nonsense even a second’s thought. In what parallel universe would we help out a major competitor by selling/ loaning them one of our players?

Agree15 4Disagree

16 Jan 2019 20:39:41
Jonesred - They may reconsider that Llorente transfer out now. It would leave Jannsen as their only striker (and he's a big poo pie), unless they have someone in the academy, but that is a lot of responsibility for a young player, replacing Kane until mid March.

Lucas Moura is injured, Son is on international duty. I can't think who they can play up front if they let Llorente go.

Agree0 1Disagree

{Ed001's Note - the Asian Nations final is on the 1st Feb, if I remember correctly, so it is only a couple of weeks then Son is back.}

16 Jan 2019 22:08:15
Who said it would be classed as helping them lol.

Agree1 8Disagree

17 Jan 2019 07:53:31
Vary true Ravi, and I don’t see them catching us.

Agree0 3Disagree

17 Jan 2019 12:04:55
I would keep Origi personally. For all his negatives and poor form when playing for loan teams away from us, when he's been in a red shirt, he's put the ball in the net on basis decent enough to be at rotation or cover.
