Aidy Ward has just proved how stupid an agent he is. Get ready for the first high profile player to invoke Article 17.

Wont come to that - FSG will sell him.

Does no one think there may be more to this? As in somethings going on behind the scenes that may dictate who makes the final decision on this one, or rather could this be stalled with a view to new management coming in and therefore a different focus to pitch to sterling?

His move it already lined up, the agent will know who he's going to was will sterling. You don't come out with any of this crap, if toy don't have another option lined up! It actually seems to me so bad that it looks arranged! (I know eds if that was the case then etc) but wr will never find out! Bur to do all.this and potentially scare other teams off with you lr behavior would be stupid if toy were trying to get them interested!

I agree with Smithy, they will just sell him to the highest bidder. Hopefully that is an overseas team.
He is being badly advised and has turned into a mercenary. We don't need people like that at Liverpool.

Sell him to Man City for £50M and let him walk in the footsteps of Scott Sinclair.

Firstly, RS doesn't have to accept a new deal or being sold to anyone we wish. He holds a lot of power in this little debacle. Next, this is clearly a tactic by Aidy Ward to establish a cheap like-for-like price in case they invoke Article 17 and we challenge it.

The best thing we can do is continue to play him and establish him as fundamental to our team meaning Ward cannot get through a cheap Article 17 buy-out. If he plays badly he becomes worthless, if he plays well his compare value goes up. Contrary to popular opinion, if Article 17 is invoked it is more likely that RS will only be able to buy out the last year of his contract based upon damage to the club and replacement value. Aidy Ward is hoping we do not allow him to play and trying to get us to drop him into the reserves until December when he would then have legal precedence for claiming the buyout to be £1.5m. At least that's my opinion ;)

he thinks he's the real deal because of people whispering in his ears and he has probably got his destination worked out, read in a rag that chelsea want him and are wiling sell oscar to fund it, if true give us oscar and cash(lol) or if we can get 50 mil for the prat ill pay his bus fare to go, i reckon ibe is a better all player with more scope anyway
