Hi Ed's reports in Germany say we have made an offer for Gotze, any truth in these?

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of a bid being made just yet but the player has been told in no uncertain terms that Bayern Munich have had enough of him and want him gone over the summer. As I have explained over and over, Liverpool need to speak with BM to make something happen.}

Is the reasons for Bayern wanting rid a worrying sign for future suitors or just he is not a player they need or want?

{Ed002's Note - It is form, whining and talking to the press. He has no future there and that has been made clear to him and his agent.

Bayern Munich offered Goetze as part of a deal for Gundogan in the summer of 2015 but nothing came of it - although Dortmund would take him back at the right price but the Dortmund fans are seemingly in unison against such a move - one because he left for Bayern Munich and two because his form has dropped right away. This could be enough for Dortmund to think again about their interest. Bayern have also spoken to his agent about a couple of issues with his constant bitching and whining and with Goetze talking openly to the press about calls he has had with Klopp. Bayern are certainly open to the idea of using him in part exchange if the right opportunity comes along. An enquiry from Juventus led to them being told that they would have to agree to pay at least his €37M release clause before there could be any discussions - and the expectation is that Juventus might agree to making a significant, but lesser, bid and will open discussions with a move being mooted for the summer of 2016, but critically they are looking at other options as they do not see Goetze worth anything like the asking price. The situation is that Goetze has gotten to the point where he has not been playing regularly for a long time but his club are still looking for a significant fee to help him move on - but not the ull €37M any longer. His agent has held discussions with PSG but they were regarding another player although it has been reported that Goetze was also part of those discussions. As for any interest from Liverpool, Bayern jokingly say they await the call from Liverpool but there has been nothing at this time. They are aware of all of the speculation and did request the player to state what discussions he has had with either Klopp or any other representatives of Liverpool. The result was that he had spoken with Klopp but no one else from the club and he has had the riot act read to him as I understand it. If Liverpool are interested then they know what needs to be done. Whether all of this will prompt other clubs to look at him or not is not clear right now - but many would see the investment as too much of a risk - and don't rule out another English side getting involved as there is a little rustling in the bushes, but again not at the quoted asking price but something rather smaller.}

Ed I expect you just want Götze to move somewhere to stop yourself being bombarded with questions about him!

{Ed002's Note - He may well end up at Liverpool, or at any of the other sides I have mentioned.}

This is a perfect scenario were we should make one of our infamous lowball offers. This is a high risk signing and a low transfer fee may offset that risk. There must be a reason Munich don't want him and I don't believe it's because he's a whinger. I feel its because they think he's a dud and want to get rid. If he was playing 'edge of your seat' football I suspect they would put up with his antics. For me he's injury prone but IF he recaptures his form very good. Saying that I'd have Gotze over lallana and would fully support the sale of lallana for this situation to happen.

If the manager was interested, then I would put my money on an 'informal' chat between our manager and the player.

No smoke without fire on this one, and if true, would seem the best move for the player.

I can see Henderson going, as I don't see him as Captain material, and the kick-in-the-teeth to the player when he does lose his Captaincy may prove too much, hence a move would be best for him also.

Slightly off the subject again, but Milner is surely Captain material.

I think he's played 90 minutes in 8 games this season soring 4 goals and making 4 assist in those full games, not bad stats. In the 19 games he played Bayern never lost. He's letting his contract run down and whinging to the press just like Ed02 stated.

Certainly no smoke without fire. he pretty much said he texts klopp regularly.

So DaveyBottle you see Hendo leaving because you don't think he's captain material? God knows why they'd take your opinion. The simple fact that we average over 2 points per league game with Hendo and only 1.33 without should show you he is captain material. A captain makes that difference not your regular player. Nevermind that but you think Milner is captain material. Milner? He has a worse touch than me and I'm no great talent. Never see him talking during games either just runs with his head down. Not Liverpool quality nevermind Liverpool captain quality!

He has had a poor season, making only 21 appearances so far, but his first two seasons at Bayern saw him making over 40 appearances each, and was a regular.

Davey, have you heard anything on Henderson being stripped off the captaincy for next season?

AG, in this case we should make mignolet captain bcos when he does not play we lose. How about Origi as captain? He play we draw or win.

Hazard has had a poor season too. But he's still a great player.

Yet I've never seen them be vocal in anyway Leek as with most other players in the team. Even though Hendo's not had the best year he's still the most vocal mid and the whole team plays better when he's playing. You don't have to have Gerrard's ability to be captain!

Bayern haven't lost with gotze playing aha, considering he's a luxury player and they have lost two all season, I am not surprised!

I don't see Götze making a massive difference to us. We have loads of players LIKE him. I'd rather we had someone to dominate the midfield. Who knows, maybe Grujic will?
