The echo are reporting the same, although they are saying 7m euros so £5.5mil.
Apparently the deal is to be concluded after the euros.

Ed001, you sound like the one throwing your toys out the pram. Skrtel has been a good servant like carragold says and you go off on one like that, and this the fella who loves Henderson, well Skrtel is as much a goal threat as Henderson, so go and digest that one.

Martin Skrtel was that good a servent he was forth choice under Rafa, once he did finally have a half decent season next to Agger he asked to leave, then his other 'good' year he scored a few headers but equaled out with blunders and own goals that lead to our shocking defensive record and inability to win the league. What's with the Henderson hate campaign again the season we finished second he was one of our leading players and even with injuries last season when he plays our win percentage and performances are much better.

I wasn't aware he had any off field issues?
By good servant I more meant because he was never in the papers for the wrong reasons and always gave his best on the field (although sadly not good enough)
Almost a decade of service deserves to be respected but its a shame it sounds like he was a tit off the field.
Still, all the best to him and if he ends up in fenerbache I hope he has done successful years there.

I liked skrtel, last year not so much, but he wasn't nearly as bad as your making out ed. He was better than lovren in his prime.
