Eds, are the relations with United so strained that buying one of their players is not an option? I am speaking about Depay (and I would also like Schneiderlin to be honest) . We had prior interest in Depay (atleast was reported he chose United over us, and the accuracy of that I do not know) . I think Depay could do well for the right coach, maybe charming, player hugging German.

{Ed002's Note - It is unusual for the clubs to do business and the reasons are all very petty. The relationship seems somewhat strained still and Liverpool were reluctant over making a payment to MU that they had to do last season. Add to that there is no interest in either player from Liverpool and I think it is safe to say that neither will be joining in January.}

Depay and Schneiderlin are nowhere near the quality we need. We have much better players as 3rd and 4th choice squad players. From them I'd take Shaw or De Gea and that's it.

Possibly not for us but I do think schneiderlin will be a great buy for possibly everyone, either way good player for me.

Scherderlin is great mobile DM. Definitely good value under Klopp.
