Cheers Ed, a top class response as always.

I really hope we get him as you say, he is perfect for Klopp's system cos Bayer play the exact system under Roger Schmidt.

That last line from Ed02 would be enough for me to buy him. Never doubted his talent rather on his age.

I'd prefer to give Ojo or Wilson a go on the left wing.
Brandt will be an expensive gamble.
We have a problem conceding goals, not scoring them.

Ron, if Klopp thought either were good enough to play the role at the moment then we would have seen them et game time over the Christmas period.

They didn't. Instead he changed our style by putting Lallana out wide.

He cannot think they are ready yet. I tend to agree.

Puzzled- are you saying Brandt won't need time to settle in?
It's a gamble.

Yes he's a gamble Ron, but at the same time Brandt has shown he can play well consistently in a high pressing team in a similar league to the Premier League. However much I'd like Ojo to be given a chance, we have shown that without Mane, we sorely lack pace which Brandt could provide. There's also the chance that Sturridge might leave in the summer, so I'm confident there will be enough opportunities for everyone to play.

Every signing is a gamble, Ron. All you can do is minimize the risk and sign players with a high ceiling. Brandt certainly fits the bill of being a player in a position of need of high quality and potential.

Do we need to take the gamble when we score freely and we have young guns coming through?

Ron, the simple fact is that Brandt is WAY ahead of Ojo and Wilson in his development as I watched him play in the U21 WC in 2015, the Olympics of last year and in the CL this season as well as already has 4 caps for the German senior side.

Comparing him with Ojo and Wilson is pointless and illogical. The kid has been special since he was 17 and that has not changed. Klopp wants him at all costs per reports and he is the real deal and having watched him some, I can see why. If Ojo and Wilson were that great in comparison, why did we not see the in Jan?

Hamilton - Brandt is "special" in Germany. This is a different league with different challenges. He may succeed, he may turn out to be another Schurle. It will cost probably upwards of £30m to find out. Do we really need to take that gamble when we have no problem scoring goals.

Ojo and Wilson may succeed, they may fail, but we won't pay out £30m to find out.

Secondly - you say Ojo and Wilson are not ready otherwise they would play in Jan.
Ok, but you jump down my throat for saying Karius is not ready even though he can't even replace an error strewn Mignolet.

Your reasoning is muddled, you need to have a rethink.
