So latest news via the Liverpool Echo

"Liverpool’s wage bill rocketed by 25% as it passed the £200 million mark for the first time. "

"The Reds shelled out £208,258,000 on salaries for players and staff for the 12 months up to May 31 2016 - more than Premier League rivals Manchester City (£198m) and Arsenal (£195m) . "

"That represents a hefty increase on the previous year when Liverpool’s wage bill was £166,085,000. The details are included in the club’s accounts which have now been filed at Companies House. "

So to end of with that news, anyone accusing the club of not spending money along with the other blah blah blah vitriol towards FSG when the club made a £20m pre tax loss need to put a sock in it now when they say FSG are only here to make money off the club. If the club makes a loss, the owners pockets take the hit.

Moving on.

So here is what I reckon Klopp will do this summer,

The club tried to move on Clyne last summer and was why Clyne was so furious during the summer window. Believe the club will make attempts to move Clyne on again along with Sakho, Lucas, Markovic, Bogdan, Sturridge and possibly Ings. There could very well be another clear out in the academy for those who have no future to make space for other youngsters trying to break through. If Mignolet does go then I cannot see Klopp signing another keeper. Ward will be made no 2.

I doubt anymore midfielders will be added even with the departure of Lucas. Klopp still has Grujic who has to play regularly next season due to his work permit requirements. Ed002 has said the club do not have intentions to move on either Can or Stewart . Then we still have Lallana, Wijnaldum and Henderson plus academy players. Milner is another who can play in midfield. We are well and truly stocked in this department. More midfielders will have to leave along with Lucas in order to add more CM’s which will be explained in the very last paragraph of my post.
.
Two new fullbacks will be signed, TAA, Moreno and Milner as backups. Another forward with pace and trickery, another CB and that will be it in my humble opinion.

Our wage bill will have to be reduced considerably before Klopp decides to go crazy in the market otherwise Liverpool could be looking at running at a loss again in the next financial results. If we do not qualify for CL then having one of the highest wage bills in the League could end up spelling trouble ahead and pretty sure Ed002 will agree regarding LFC's wage bill.

yea I agree on the money thing. to me it's not really the amount of money spent, but more about getting the right structures and the right people in to use that money in the best way possible.

It is true that the club/ Klopp wanted to move on Clyne last summer Matip is Boss. Ed002 last summer confirmed that Clyne was not a happy man when the club was offering him around.

I will say this, Klopp hit both his big money buys, Matip was a good pickup, Klavan is what he's been brought to be and that is be serviceable, with only Karius being a question mark. If Klopp can pull off another summer like that, we are going to be in a good spot.

I think Klopp will go for a veteran premier league keeper, thinking Schmichel, Heaton,

Any updates on Saed Kolasanic Eds?

I like Heaton. and I really liked Butland before the injury. I think Butland may have better ball distribution too but it remains to see what he's like after the injury.

I wonder if Cresswell (West Ham) has ever been considered as a LB?
