Papers reporting we're interested in the woeful Oxlade-Chamberlain for £35m. If we are that desperate to waste money why not simply withdraw the money in cash and set fire to it.

I don't think he's as bad a player as everyone seems to be making out. Probably not worth the money being quoted but He's had some good games for them in the middle and could potentially play in 5 positions for us which going in to Europe next season and some cup runs could be pretty handy if you ask me. Always gives 100% too even when things aren't going their way. I'd have him at Liverpool for 25m.

I think he's a good player too, 1 big issue for me. injured a lot! We've had / have enough of those players already I'd say. Decent player though in my opinion.

Me three!
Decent player, not a priority position.

£35mil is a crazy price for someone with 1 year left on their contract, who's regularly injured and doesn't really score that much.
They'd need to take £10mil+ off that price.

A good player who starts 10 games for Arsenal ever since he has been there at the club. What a truly great player.

I can't think of a game where he's been anything over mediocre. He certainly got the run around by Bayern when he was put in the middle and didn't look like a centre midfielder as he looked lost and positionally naive. It's all very well saying he can play in five positions, but it means nothing if he can't play any of them with and skill or ability. It's just square pegs and round holes. 25m is too much, it would be like we hadn't learnt anything from buying Downing if we wasted money on him considering there are better options out there.

He's a bit of a sick but I do think there is a player in there somewhere with the right coaching but I wouldn't like to see him at Liverpool also the money being mentioned is crazy for a player in the last year of his contract like if he was Spanish you'd be saying 10 mil at most.

Could always give me 35million, I'd not waste it. much.

I'm not bothered if we sign him or not. Been proved wrong far too many times to rely on my own instincts regarding how successful players would be for us. Massively disappointed with signing Studge (wanted Walcott instead), didn't rate Mane, wasn't bothered about Coutinho, or Lallana, was well excited about Balotelli, and thought Suso was going to be one of the best midfielders in the league. We're probably not interested in the Ox, but I'll reserve judgment and leave it to the experts I think!

Looks like BBC rumour appeared straight after someone floated the idea on here and then they bring it up every week or so. Possibly just a case of lazy journalism or his agent floating tales for hus new contract negotiations.

As mentioned, he could be useful next season, but I would prefer someone in the club promoted to first team next year. £35 mil is a rediculous fee, I wouldn't even pay half that.

oxlade chamberlain is a useful player to most pl teams for the sheer pace he posseses and although he's very inconsistent (even Sadio was touted to be inconsistent at the start of the season) he's not too much of a headless chicken most of us paint him to be. He had henderson and lovren for breakfast for one of their goals against us. He's definitely not a bad option.

I think Ramsey is quality but has injury issues too.

Oxlade is not lightning quick by any stretch of the imagination, he's not particularly skilful, has a poor end product and just runs around a lot.
