He is not out of our reach financially. Its just that he will not want to join us and there are more attractive options out there for him. Would be a brilliant signing in a parallel universe though. Can play consistently at LW and ST, so covers two positions we need to strengthen without having to buy two players and a proven winner and world class player. Never going to happen though.

After the whole mess with him this year wouldn't want him anywhere near the club. Would just be too much hard work (and not necessarilly from him on the pitch) and too open to rumours of a move when not happy.

If Sanchez moves on, I suspect it will be to a club he can be very confident in winning titles year in year out. Sadly we aren't that prospect at the moment. That's not to say we won't win a title in the next few years but at 27/ 28, he won't want another arsenal situation.

But why don't we just sign Sanchez anyway? And Griezmann and Aubameyang and Benzema. That would be quite the front 4.

If we lost Coutinho fine, but that would be the only way I see that happening. I also suspect that Ed025s £50m would be significantly less than what they would ask from a direct rival.

There is no chance of LFC getting Sanchez, but there is no fixed budget at LFC and I am sure that they can afford him.

{Ed025's Note - they could afford him AG but then thats the budget finished, once the fee, wages, tax, vat, agents fees etc are added up its an obscene amount of money mate, dont kid yourself that you have unlimited funds...you are not everton you know?.. :)

Great player but he already snubbed us once to go to Arsenal. Two times would be pretty embarrassing.
