Eds. My mate is really hung up on the Salah situation now. He thinks we have had an initil bid rejected. A little premature?

{Ed025's Note - not at all mate, talks have taken place and are at an advanced stage by all accounts, not nailed on yet of course but the signs look very good..

As far as I remember Salah is more of a right winger, than a left. Am I wrong, or is he ment as a cover for Mane and visaversa, or is he the left winger we are looking for as a alternativ for Brandt and to let Coutinho play as the 8?

Is the idea to play salah down the left? I only ask as obvs Mane already occupies the rw or is this purely to enhance our options any insight?

I would presume he is being bought in to play on the left wing as an alternative to Brandt tbh. I can't see him being back up to Mane else surely he wouldn't be interested in coming to us? He must be able to play on the left.

Ill be really happy if this happens, looks like I will be in the minority but I really think he will be the next KDB, someone Chelsea let go prematurely. The only worry is there was question marks over him settling in the country but he's a little older now.
He is a right winger but is left footed and I'm sure can adapt to playing on the left side of a front three.

I think he would just be coming in as an attacker. All our front players have a versatility and a bit of freedom to interchange throughout a game never mind a season. Mane lined out on the right predominantly but how many times did he scores goals running straight through the centre. He can also play on the left.
