Ed002, thanks for the reply. I do understand the embarrassing statement lfc put out but just concerned we aren't moving away from Vvd. Look at how quickly Chelsea moved for a cb when they realised Southamptons stance yet we don't seem to be moving on from it.

{Ed002's Note - Really, was there no hint in the Liverpool's statement which included the words: "We respect Southampton's position and can confirm we have ended any interest in the player."? Chelsea were told by Southampton that van Dijk is not for sale so they have been looking at other options.}

We weren't looking for a CB until VVD became interested, apparently. I'd expect we do as our statement and either return in Jan or most likely next summer.
We need a LB and Klopp wants Keita. These two should've been the focus since the statement.

Spot on, Max Renn. People need to take a hint and let this VVD nonsense go instead of wishing upon a star. As for Chelsea, they are going for Rudiger, who is a better, more experienced and quality CB than VVD yet would cost 30m reportedly, over twice the price VVD would cost. Go figure.

BR. rudiger is not as good as you are making out, vvd has been outstanding since he's been in the prem, he's much better than rudiger! We need to spend big to win the prem simple.
