We cld get £200m for him it doesn't mean we'll be able to get who we want to replace him. Plus when you sell your best player you become a less attractive proposition to other players, unless you're already winning titles.

what good is 134 million to us? any half decent player will cost us 100 mil after the club sees that we have cash to spend. There is absolutely no one on his level that there is even a remote chance of us getting so its completely pointless. If we HAVE to sell him then we should be asking for the same price as Neymar. I for one would much rather have phil in our team than Neymar so we should slap a 200mil price on him. Even then Harzard, messi, ronaldo (the only 3 players as good as phil) aren't coming to us.

We don't want anyone playing for liverpool who doesn't want to play for liverpool. We don't wanna lose Phil but we don't wanna hold him hostage either. There are plenty of players out there who could come in as a playmaker and be brilliant. Let's no over react, it's not the end of the world.

I honestly agree that coutinho should not be for sale at any price.
If for what ever reason he was to leave the player I'd like to see would be Sanchez
I know he turned us down before and I'm not saying he's going to sign for us just who I think is the only person who could replace him.

I think putting a ridiculously high price for Coutinho is right to kill off Barca's interest. Some might argue that it will be difficult to replace Coutinho and its true, just like we've struggled to replace Suarez till today. But if a player wants out, it will be difficult to keep him happy by refusing to fulfill his wishes. Also, when Barcelona or Real comes knocking, it'll be pretty hard to turn them down. Personally, I hope he's happy to stay, for another season at least. So that we can have more time to scout for a suitable replacement.

So Couts would basically pay for VVD and NK (if RBL is persuaded to sell) . Hmm, close call but it would just about be worth it to me.
