Hi eds, reading that the ox could be off to Stoke. (For some reason that seems like a good fit) have we ceased any interest in him now? If so do you know why? Would rather we made sure to keep Can than splash out for the ox. Would like to have both, I think he would bring something different to the party. Speed and strength.

{Ed002's Note - I have never understood the interest - he is HG which I guess helps. Stoke are in a good place financially and can buy players like that. If Chelsea were keen it would be to convert to a wing back.}

Unless they strengthen, I'd be worried for Stoke. Arnotovic was part of half of their goals and they let him go. Not easy to replace.

Versatile home grown and a very decent player on his day. I think he would add depth to our squad and provide cover to several positions where his pace and power would be a real asset.

No brainer for me!

{Ed001's Note - yep, I agree, you would need to have no brain to think he was worth buying when he is only 'decent'. You buy players to better what you have, not to fill a slot on the bench so you don't have to give youth players a chance.}

Ox is a poor player and would not make our bench, Beddoe. We have better players in our reserves than him and does not make us better in any way, not even in squad depth. Typical Arsenal player which is why they are getting nowhere fast under AW.
