It's a disgrace, for that reason alone I would reject it.

It's just more distractions we didn't need before a hugely important game for us.

I still think we need to reject the offer and maintain our stance.

It is a disgrace, as is the whole situation. I personally would take the money to end the whole sad affair. If we don't they'll be back in January and then in the summer. I know that it will be seen as giving in but as we have been saying through the years no one player is bigger than the club. Sadly Coutinho is going to become the legend he wanted to be but not in a positive way. In just over a week's time we will know what players we have and can carry on in a proper and professional way. Good luck this evening.

I find it funny, a club as massive as Barcelona, after giving us an ultimatum. 'take it or leave it' threat, now they are back with a bigger offer. Liv should show some character and reject it. It is too late to find a replacement now and we'll end up being desperate like Barcelona once we have the money and nobody to buy.

I agree. But if and it's a bit If we do accept, i am pretty sure I remember Barcelona telling PSG they had to pay it all up front for Neymar. I hope we do the same as offering money plus add on's given the amount of irritation they are causing doing this before a game again, they should pay up or shut up!

£138m is a whole hill of money, I know it's all going to be mega last minute but surely we could replace pipco with that kind of financial firepower? I did originally think we were in the position that we didn't need money to buy, but we haven't bought anyone since that comment was made so I am wondering!

{Ed001's Note - you remember wrongly. It is a legal requirement for a buyout clause to be paid in full, up front, nothing to do with 'Barca telling PSG they had to'.}

The timing is the most Machiavellian part of it!

Barca making a fourth bid; following from withdrawing their interest and having given a deadline for a bid to be accepted, Is pretty embarrassing for Barca. Surely a club of that magnitude could have had their ducks in a row!

{Ed002's Note - When did they "withdraw" their interest? I think you will find never.}

Clearly they're bidding when we're playing our qualifier because they want us to lose so they don't get us in their group because they're scared of another 4-0 smashing just this time they think it will be more because of the extra pace we have in Salah
On a more serious note though we shouldn't sell him now, it's too late in the transfer window to be faffing about trying to get new players in. I feel like if we're singing new players we have to see some activity before Arsenal game.
