Easy tiger If only we were in a relegation scrap then I'd be worried 😁.

Today's match was awful but remember there is still 29 games to play for and we have time to sort out the defence.

I have just lost faith in Klopp now. He ain't taking us to the promised land, that is for sure. The question is when he goes, this summer or the one after that. If we don't get top4, then its fair that he gets the boot. He will have had 3 years to sort out the mess but instead it looks like we will be in the very same position that Brendan left us in. The transfer business under Klopp (Mane and Salah) aside has been pathetic and the tapping up disaster just ruined the club' reputation. Is Klopp worth all the grief? Suarez was not, and neither is Klopp.
I was delighted when Klopp joined us, but its painfully obvious he does not know what to do anymore. He is too loyal to his players and not ruthless enough. Any manager with brains would have kicked LOvren, Mignolet out of the club long back and not signed c**p like Klavan and AOC. He looks out of his depth and the clown act is well and truly old news now.

Vakpa and Reusch, tell it to fans who have waited more than a 1/ 3 century for a league title.

{Ed001's Note - they have no right to expect a title and any that do not want to support the club when it loses can go away and never darken the clubs doors for all I care. I am sick of this entitlement crap. The club has to earn the right to win things, the fans have to earn the right to win things. You only have to read the moronic comments we get sent on here each game to see that 90% of the fanbase deserve nothing. They are knee jerk reactionary tools who show no patience, understanding or support.}

Well said Ed 001. I refrained from saying such yesterday, to a poster, for fear of getting banned! I get more angry with what some people say on here than I do with our back 4!

Absolutely spot on Ed001, couldn't agree more mate.

I agree we do not have a divine right to win anything but I understand posters frustrations.

Lovren was awful yesterday and Pocch clearly told his players to expose the weakeness which is our left side, it worked. The worrying thing is that Spurs could have scored 4 or 5 before half time. Klopp takes off Lovren and moves Can into defence clearly showing he has no faith in Klavan.

There’s is also no protection from the midfield imo, you look at what the likes Claude Makele, Matic ( at Chelsea ) Gilberto did, all in title winning teams protecting the back 4. Not sure if this will a a Keita roll, I’ve not really seen him play?

I get there’s not always the best avaliable but 4 transfers windows on and our defence is as shambolic as it was under Rodgers, that’s the frustration on here.

{Ed001's Note - 4 windows? So 2 windows in effect as January is just pointless unless a player is being offloaded for being a problem no one wants to sell anyone then. There is a problem with the recruitment, we know that. There is no protection from midfield, we know that too.

The problem is that people seem to think we are title challengers and are throwing their toys out of the pram because we are not winning every game. They expect too much.}

A performance like would be unacceptable for any team not just Liverpool. It's the same player's making the same mistakes over and over again. Is it to much to ask player's that are getting paid thousands and thousands of pounds a week to get the basics right? Klopp had the summer to get a CB in and he chose to stick the with the one and only out of the 500 the club watched (his words) that wasn't available. He has to take a portion of the blame. An absolute embarrassment yesterday but we all know it will happen again because issues weren't or aren't addressed.

That's what does my head in from time to time some peoples comments saying we should be going for the title now. Some expect far too much from the team we currently have.

I trust Klopp and whatever plan he may have (apart from playing migs) I do believe he will address the areas we need to strengthen in the summer but that won't mean we can then go on to win the title/ every game, we won't get every single position covered, this takes time and too many people are far too impatient.

Win, Lose or draw, Liverpool are the club we support, so they get my support no matter what the result. The result yesterday wasn't one we hoped for. That's that. It's gone now, we must must forward it's not the end of the world we lost to a good spurs team.

I know January is not the best but you can have some success, Suarez, Mascherano, Studge, we bought in January, Matic went to Chelsea along with Cahill in recent times.

I’m totally with you mate, we are way off challenging and it’s a long term project to which we need to stick with Klopp.

To be honest we were never going to be title challengers this year as the recruitment isn't good enough Klopp needs more time but im not sure he is going to improve us enough to catch the others, as good as Firmino is he isn't going to win us a title with goals like Kane, Lukaku or Aguero.

I never expected us to challenge for the league title, because we simply have challenged for the league title like 5 times in the last 26 years. So that's illogical and doesn't make sense. Our fans are fickle and i understand what ed001 means but we do have a right to hope that liabilities like Lovren and Mignolet are dropped, we have a right to hope that our team doesn't give away a 2 goal lead after 10 minutes and we also have a simple right to hope for better. Look at Tottenham, the perfect example of the team we should follow. We signed Lovren for twice the price of Alderweireld f. eks, something is wrong with the recruitment department, its like its made up of Manchester United fans, sign top quality attacking players knowing fully well they will leave because of the dross we sign in defence and GK, the most important positions. I will only be deluding myself if i think the like of Saido Mane or Roberto Firmino or Mohamed Salah will stay here more than 2 seasons when we fail to be a regular CL team, a goal that this summers transfer window killed, before the season we needed to fix the defence and GK, so we block Ward from joining Huddersfield to improve even further and Keep Mignolet in goal, and Sign Hull's LB.

Lukaku? what titles has he ever won any team? can you please elaborate? Even Harry Kane? can you count the titles he has won?
ZERO, just a bunch of baseless comments about nothing to do with the real problem.

To be fair Kloppiaskloon Robertson has looked ok when given the chance, Moreno is making Klopp look daft as he was completely blocked out last season and is now playing every week, as good as he has been he still isn't the answer for left back, Mignolet has never been a top 6 keeper ever, for me Gomez needs to play in the centre now, the scouts should be working 24/ 7 identifying 4/ 5 CBs that are of better quality than what we have and that shouldn't be very hard.

16.) 23 Oct 2017

Title aspirations? We need to be concerned about top 6.

Im most concerned about the culture of accountability. We know Migs isn’t good enough, we know Moreno isn’t good enough, we know Lovren isn’t good enough. This isn’t a bad game here or there. it’s about 50% of the time. However, instead of sitting these lads down, and making a point that the team must be sharp, and that limiting mistakes, and rash decisions, is an absolute must, we trot these guys out every week! And it’s not just these 3.the number of times I have seen Can not hustle back, and either cost us, or result in him making a rash challenge are countless! If we must take a step back this season, so be it, but it should be done offering opportunities to the younger or bench players who may be able to play more consistently, and allow us to execute an actual strategy. Honestly, how could a back 4 of TAA, Matip, Gomez and Robertson be worse than what we are seeing? Why not play Grujic as opposed to Milner? At least then we get the benefit of developing and learning more about our young players. Continuing to lose with players we want rid of (Migs, Moreno, Lovren) seems crazy. The only upside would be an increase in sale value. but it is just as likely they lose value as others will see their incredible inconsistency.
