He did. After the break Milner wore the band.

James MIlner got 3 assists in the second half while wearing a bright yellow armband and you didn't see it? And you want to preach us on the utility of our captain and a key player? Must be a wind up lol.

I was at the game, Milner came on with about a min to go in the first half, Milner came out as captain in the second half.

Ridiculous comment. I bet 15 years ago you were a Lucas hater.
Hendo has had a poor run but he is quality.
Just because he does not grab the headlines. watch him play, watch the work he gets through. and his passing range is superb. if he played for say Dortmund and was foriegn wed say what a player. sign him up.
I would have his consistency, discipline and will to work for the team in holding mid over can every day of the week.

What a ridiculous statement. Henderson is comfortably our best leader. He does the job Klopp asks of him, despite it not being his best role, a darn sight better than any other player in our squad would or could. People seem to pick on him as an easy target to pick on Liverpool when the guy works his absolute hardest for us.

As a matter of fact, since he joined Liverpool, our Premier League win % with him playing is around 53% - without him, it’s 36%. We have earned 0.3 points per game more when Henderson plays than when he hasn’t. That says it all to me.

In fact, even under Klopp, our league win % with Henderson has been 54%, compared to 48% without him, and again we earned 0.2 points more per game with Henderson than without whikst Klopp has been here.

I know Ed001 hates stats but I’m sure he’ll agree with me here. Henderson is a valuable cog in the Liverpool machine. I certainly wouldn’t be swapping him as captain for anyone in the current squad.

Come on brudder, you're going to get yourself banned.

I can accept some people don't rate Henderson, but you aren't really justifying your opinion or even offering an explanation. You've just copied and pasted the same boring, lazy rhetoric about him apparently only passing sideways or backwards, and not being fit to be Liverpool captain etc.

It is making you look like a troll. Ed025 and Harry don't like Henderson either, but they are at least trying to justify it. If you gave a balanced and constructive assessment of why you didn't rate Hendo, you might actually change some peoples minds?

Keep posting mate, at least you're consistent and therefore not fickle! You just need to tone down on the baseless character assassination, and focus on explaining yourself.

i think the erratic performances of henderson deem he is not an automatic starter, but i like the guy he comes across pretty good guy and he does work hard for the team but i think it all goes back to the injury to the foot when he went for the operation the recovery didn't seem as smooth as was predicted and he seemed to lose a step, this could be in his head because the injury is always in the back of his head as it was said it could be managed but not totally healed but it could also be because the role he is being asked to play does not suit him either, just my 5 cents worth.
