Reports tonight suggesting we've made a breakthrough in our pursuit of VVD and are willing to pay in the excess of 70 million .

I hope not, my word, if we spend that amount on him its just rediculous, he's been a plank this season, done nothing and dropped by Southampton. Is there any truth to this Ed2?

It's most likely going to either be us or Man City. A few places are reporting that it is City, but nothing concrete yet.

Vvd doesn't want to play at Southampton he's made it clear he wants a move so why would he give his all when saints knocked his transfer request back in the summer. If it is us he cones to an it's 60 or even 70 mill so be it that's the prices these days city paid 50 mill 2 or 3 years ago for stone. Vvd would do a great job for us in my opinion.

He's hardly played recently, his attitude stunk when he did. He will take time to adjust to being on it, and by then, knowing us we would have labelled him a flop. I am saying now I don't want him, but if he comes I'll support him. Not sure it matters who comes in as we need two, of klopp doesn't give Gomez a go - my favourite CB is klavan, and I still think klopp sees him as third choice.

Unfortunately lavers life isn't like that mate if I had offers of a better job with more money I'm sure as hell not going to bust a gut for my current employer. I think he'll do a good job for us pal.
