Jean Michael Seri and Kevin Trapp are being discussed for this window - Lemar the big marque for next and Mahrez is the smoke screen. Stefan de Vrij as a possbile for summer on a free. Also Klopp likes players from the EPL therefore the rags talking about the Mahrez rumours which is obvious but Jack Wilshere is another possible freebie for the summer.

I mean, if you hadn't lost credibility when you said Mahrez was a "smokescreen", you certainly lost it when you said De Vrij is a possible free in the summer. You are aware e signed a new contract, right?

Wilshere was just funny though. I hope this was a wind up 😂.

{Ed002's Note - De Vrij has not signed a new contract.}

It was reported in Italy that he signed a short extension with a buy out clause Ed, and that he's no longer free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement?

Have the Italian media got that wrong? If he is still available on a free, he represents great value business in my opinion!

{Ed002's Note - He has not signed a new contract but an Italian side are trying to negotiate a purchase this month.}

Then forgive me Ed. My apologies on that front Mr. Carlos; though smokescreen and Wilshere still have me rather sceptical!

I don't normally believe the media, but it was even confirmed on this site by an editor (Ed0333's Note - De Vrij recently signed a new contract with Lazio with a moderate buy out clause. )

I imagine that Italian side is Juventus Ed002? I hope we push for a deal. De Vrij has a touch of class about him.

{Ed002's Note - It is not Juventus. But I bow to Ed333s knowledge and won't mention it again.}

Credibility has certainly been dented for someone there.

I do hope too though, that Wilshere isn’t really an option.

I feel like clubs just don't engage with such things as 'smokescreens'.

Yes dented whose creditibility? Probably both.

I don't doubt you Ed002 mate. Ed0333 probably read the exact same report as me. If my memory is correct, it was early November from some Italian media outlet (Messagario? I think) and they said he had signed a new contract with a £27m buy out clause. It was picked up by loads of major outlets so it seemed genuine.

I've done another search online though a some website called calciomercato have since backed up what you're now saying. Apparently he rejected the contract because the buy-out figure was too high.

It's just a simple case of conflicting reports causing confusion. I still trust both yourself and Ed0333 that you'd only give us what you believe to be correct information.

Is wilshere being looked at for the summer eds?

{Ed002's Note - Not by Liverpool.}

Wilshere is a smokescreen for Mahrez.

And Mahrez is himself a smokescreen for Simao.

You heard it here first :)

You mean Simao Sambrosa? Just the exact person we need to replace Coutinho! How did we manage to pull that off?

Quite like wilshere myself. Got himself fit and is the stand out player at arsenal atm.

Benny Baller - when you say got himself fit, he's played about 5 games. I think someone with his record needs at least half a season injury free to start thinking of himself as over his issues.

Wouldn't want him anyway though, I just don't think he has the intelligence to do what we need to do in the midfield or the awareness of the tactical needs of his team. We'd need a lot more rigid structure to play someone like him.

Why would we be looking at Jack wheelchair?!

Every time Wilshere is on the telly it is accompanied by stats like first time started 2 games in a row for 3 years or first time played 60 minutes in a decade or whatever. Really not the answer for a top 4 side considering he seems to be as or more injury prone than Sturridge.
