Hey Eds, Im reading that RB Leipzig are in trouble with FFP and that we may get Nobby in Jan? Any truth?

{Ed001's Note - considering it is done over a 3 year period and they would have known exactly what their situation was for the season in the summer, it is clearly false. The only reason there is a chance for us to get him in January is because he is desperate to leave. The lad is unhappy there as the fans got on his back and it has affected his form.}

It would be great if he came now. He would fill a big hole in the squad.

I read that his team mates are also getting at him too, now. If that's true, and he's affecting camp morale, I'm sure a deal could be struck for this month. He seems to have a lot of baggage though, Keita. Red cards, fall outs, trying to force moves, accusations he's downed tools etc. Hopefully when he puts on a red shirt he gets it all together because he's looked fantastic at times and is still only 22, i think.

{Ed001's Note - to be fair to the lad, he was trying too hard, hence the red cards which were all reckless overeagerness, to prove he did care, after a summer of stick from fans of RBL. They do seem to have attracted the worst elements of German fandom there, but then no true football fan would follow them as they are the antithesis of what German football is about. He needs to leave for his own sake, it doesn't matter what he says or does, the fans had turned on him and now it is just a miserable time. No one plays at their best when they are unhappy mentally.}

Do you think its worth us paying another huge chunk of money ed to get him early for just a dozen or so games? Seems exesive to me.

{Ed001's Note - yes, the lad needs rescuing from a horrible situation at a club that shouldn't be allowed to exist.}

If he's unhappy I hoepfully we get him now, and hopefully he can rediscover his best form here - the longer he stays in a rut the harder it is to get out! I hope he's not too eager to prove himself here and ends up flying Into tackles.

The blue-noses of Germany.

Sorry for the ignorance but why shouldn't they be allowed to exist? Is it something Red Bull have done?

{Ed001's Note - because they are against all the rules of fan ownership that exist in Germany. They are purely a marketing tool of RB, not a genuine football club. They are the one club in Germany that is hated more than Bayern Munich. Usually you either support Bayern or hate them, but everyone hates RBL.}

That’s a bit harsh Bootle! I hope we bring him in early, it’s not a good situation for anyone to drag it out and we could with him adding some threat from midfield.

If late Gini seems to have lost his ability to get forward and Milner seems everywhere but unable to hit a shot on target and Hendo is injured. Can, Keita and Lallana looks a really good balance of a midfield 3 to me.

They're more like the MK Dons of German football to be honest!

Getting a player early is not just "getting him to play a dozen games". It's getting him prepared better, knowing his teammates, understanding tactics and so on. Much better getting him in now, than in the summer, especially with the world cup taking a month.

If that's the case with Naby Ed001, then he needs to do something drastic to make the move happen now. Going on strike, giving RBL an ultimatum to sell him etc. Whatever it takes. Its what players do anyways nowadays isn't it?
Naby should enforce the move if he is so desperate to join now. Sulking won't do the trick, giving RBL no choice but to sell will.

{Ed001's Note - I would prefer he didn't do that personally.}

I wouldn't like that either but if your are desperate, that's how its done in football these days. It stinks but its reality.

From the point of protecting him and the investment the club has made in him coming in the summer it would be worth taking him out of a toxic environment as soon as possible.

Do we, as a club, understand the need to save him from that situation or is it not likely Ed?

{Ed001's Note - RBL do not want to do any deal.}

That's a great shame for the player then really. Hopefully his confidence won't be too shot when he joins us in the summer.

Is it possible to just throw a team out of the leagues? because if so that is surely coming for them one day.

FSG won't spend big money on a player over 27 I doubt. That rules a few out.

it’s a shame RBL won’t do any deal, like the thread above this one saying they’ll take 10mil extra for him. Could never see them accepting that but maybe now i’ve read this thread it would be wise for them to do. If nabby keeps getting shot down more by the 'fans' and his team mates and affecting squad moral, they could start performing a lot worse and lose more than that 10mil dropping places in the league.
Kinda wish I read this one before replying to the one above 😂.
