Away from the Fekir deal. Just wondering if there is any genuine interest in Nick Pope, haven't seen his name mentioned before?

Id rather have Pope than Butland tbh, but most of all Id just stick with Karius, if we don't go for a proper upgrade anyway.

I’d ratger neither. You can’t and shouldn’t buy a player on the back of one good season after a few mediocre ones. Screams of Charlie Adams. Pope plays in the most defensive team in the league. Its the Michael Keane thing all over again and look how well it’s worked out for him at Everton.

Pope is with the England team in Russia, we can take a look then, it starts midweek,
he does tick a lot of boxes tho .

With Frankly, on this one. Pope is decent BUT plays in a defensive system and he is not asked to do all the things Karius is asked and CAN do as in play out the back, play the high line, sweep up, be proactive with the ball. We have no clue if Pope can do that cos he has not done that at Burnley cos he is not required to do that. IMO, if you cannot get a GK like Allisson who will sort the position out for the long term, might as well stick with Karius. The Pope' and Butlands of this world, are nothing but bandaids personally, I am not interested in.
