Looks like Bogdan is off to Hibernian for the season.

With one yr left on his contract why couldn’t we have agreed to terminate his contract and let him join them on a free.

Why would we terminate his contract and then have to pay off his wages for that year?

3.) 02 Jul 2018
02 Jul 2018 15:02:46
Probably subsidizing wages.

I'm guessing he prefers a year of collecting Liverpool's weekly wage than Hibs' and for the club they will at least save the however-much-a-week that Hibs will pay. Lennon knows him from Bolton, so hopefully it will turn out to be a successful move for the guy.

{Ed002's Note - Doesn't take much for Liverpool supporters to turn on the poor guy does it - you think he is money grabbing? What deal did Liverpool offer him then?}

Huh? You've lost me, Ed002. Money grabbing? I never suggested anything of the sort. My point was that he has a year left on his contract and is entitled to the wages that were agreed to when both parties signed a four year contract. I wish him well, he's 30 and needs to get playing somewhere asap. I think you misconstrued my intention, maybe my tone sounded cynical?

{Ed002's Note - You said the player prefers to collect his wages from Liverpool. You have made it about the player and about money. It is always the same with many of the Liverpool fans, constant digs at past, present and potential future Liverpool players.}

Good luck to the lad.

Sorry lads got to agree with ed02 here, shocking the way some of our players who are far down the pecking order get hated on for not being good enough and then slated for taking wages the wages their entitled to, the lad didn’t make the grade, we should all be wishing him every success for the future and see him hopefully hold down a position somewhere else, the club are obliged to do what’s best for the club but they will wish him all the best when he leaves, so why can’t we all do the same? At the end of the day you want him in the future coaching youngsters and telling them how amazing it is to be a Liverpool player, wether your on the pitch or not, the lad is a pro footballer, and he’s not playing, I’ve suffered from depression all of my life from PTSD and I can only imagine how bad a toll it takes on a pro when their not playing, when their reminded everyday how short their career is and knowing every season that goes by the smaller his chances are of turning it around, at the end of the day the lad hasn’t played enough games for us to garner hero status or villain, just wave the lad off with best wishes, all the other crap just makes us all look like real crappy human beings.
these usually take a little while to post so apologies if I’m repeating what somebody else (hopefully) already brought up, oh and nice one ed’s, I don’t post much these days but love that you guys dedicate so much time to this site and all the pages for little reward, ✌️😔🤘.

I think you both have Jurgen Meister wrong, he’s only pointed out it suits both sides and wished the player well.

Jurgen meister having a go at the poor lad, he’s only getting some game time north of the border. To be honest I’d rather we kept bogdan and sent our first 2 up there the clowns that are mignolet and karius. If Klopp puts his trust in either of those 2 this year he’s going to end up winning nothing again.

{Ed001's Note - irony much or stupidity?}

I must say, Jurgen Meister did not say a bad word about Bogdan. He said it was a good deal for both sides in terms of wages ect. I don't believe that any normal Liverpool fan "hates" any player than puts on our jersey.

Bogdan was never going to break into our first team and I wish him luck while on loan at hibs.

Thank you SGRed, I was a bit baffled there. "hated on . and then slated" it's like you are reading another post. I did and do wish the guy well, so I'm really at a loss what you chaps are being so defensive about.

And Ed002 I'll thank you not to lump me in with the knuckle draggers, I don't make constant digs. The only reason I mentioned his wages was in response to Sam5's comment, because Bogdan has a contract that the club should honour, not just terminate. An ACL injury in no joke for any player, and I'll be genuinely glad for him to get his career back on track. That is all.

{Ed002's Note - Read what was written. Idiot.}

You are grand Jurgen. Your initial post could have been constrewed badly but I think most people now get what you meant at this point. Arguing against Ed’s might not end well. (Though sometimes it’s very entertaining) All the best to bogdan. Couldn’t have been easy the last few years. Hopefully he finds a home among the fans in hibs.

{Ed002's Note - He will no doubt be back soon.}

Each to their own, but when i played i moved twice in latter years for less wages and bonuses. And the reason why. i choose and wanted to play football. I choose not to sit in stands and watch others play while am getting older and time running out on my playing side. As a said each to their own but i can't grasp mentality of some who only think of financial reasons which i may add is their right at the end of the day.

16.) 03 Jul 2018
03 Jul 2018 17:26:10
Fact is why on earth would he accept a proposal where Liverpool terminate his contract so he can join Hibs on a free on less money? Would you?
We offered him the contract and are duty bound to pay him his money as agreed until that contract ends.
You can’t blame the player for wanting to earn as much as he can for himself and his family and if he can do that and get some playing time at Hibs then good luck to him.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. It seems like the ed is a private school boy or a young spoilt child. Private school boys always have this air of superiority about them and get angry and throw their toys out of their Oran quickly. This is a freedom of speech site and furthermore a business. Imagine going in to a business and being told that your an idiot because you have a different opinion from the owner. Chill out and enjoy life. It’s only people on a computer, so what if they say things that you don’t agree with. And feel free to call me an idiot for voicing my opinion too lol.
