Heard a rumour it was to do with John Achterberg why Buvac left.

Nope.
It was Klopp.
Buvac has felt increasingly under-minded by him for a couple of years. He finally couldn't take it anymore.

It was a dilution of his importance within the first team coaching.

Read something while back about a late sub, JA is in charge of player subs and buvac wanted lalana either on or off but it cost us a goal, against chelsea i believe. Anyway the story was buvac and JA haven't spoken since which was early last season.

Doubt it was over a single incident, these people are professionals.

If this is the case even more reason to want to be rid of Achterberg, he's done nothing for the keepers he's gas under his 'tutelage' in the last 7 years.

I very much Klopp would have gone against his trusty 'Brain' after working with him for so long to protect Achterberg. I am not even going to speculate on what it was. As said it was probably a whole host of things and Buvac decided it was time to move on. let's leave it at that and do the same.

I just don't get how Achterberg is still our keeper coach, he might well be liked, but he's done nothing to improve any of the keepers he's had to coach since he stepped up to the senior coaching setup, maybe sobe of the m haven't been great to start with, but surely some of them would at least look like a good keeper, rather than decent at best.

{Ed002's Note - It isKlopp who really likes him and has given him more responsibility so you should be looking at getting Klopp out in order to get the change you want.}

Only at Liverpool could the supporters regularly criticize the goalkeeper coach, somebody that 99% of supporters have never seen what he does or how he does it. This is a man that has been goalkeeper coach at the club under 3 different managers, he must be doing something right.

{Ed001's Note - that is nonsense. It would be the same at any club that had the problems with goalkeepers that their coach had failed to rectify.}

The goalkeeping situation has little to do with JA. We had a weak defensive line up with little or no protection from the midfield. Awful wingbacks in clyne and Moreno and we leaked goals.

VVD comes in TAA and Robertson and suddenly Karius is being praised by the fans for his improvement.

Then one bad game and JA is the bad guy and the cause of all Liverpool's problems.

{Ed001's Note - er no, you are making stuff up, no one praised Karius for his improvement. And the keeper situation has everything to do with Achterberg or he is not doing his job. What a ridiculous post you just made. Sometimes I wonder if people are just being deliberately obtuse.}

Karius has not improved! He was solid during last season but rarely made 'big' saves when needed. The reason he looked a better option than Mignolet was because he was less tentative under the high ball/ corners and our defense gave away fewer good chances.

Ward for me has looked our best shot stopper. Just not sure about his distribution and communication.

Ed001 my point was around the fans generally feeling karius had improved. Many comments on this site to that effect towards the end of last season. My point was that the defence improved dramatically and was less exposed.

{Ed001's Note - and most comments said exactly that. The comments about improvement mostly related to him over Mignolet, not him improving himself.}
