Leon Bailey last week said in an interview that there has been interest by Roma, Chelsea and Liverpool this summer, he also does not want to make any promises about staying with the club beyond August 9 when the transfer window closes in England
Fingers crossed then lads.

Where would he fit in, we have a front three. He would want to be a regular starter.

Interest could mean a Scout watching though.

He will play left wing with Mane in no.10 role if it should happen I think.

So Mahrez and Bernardo don't want to start! I'm sick of the idea we can't sign quality players to challenge our first team. What happens if we get injuries? What about last season when our regulars were tired and we lost vital points at West Brom and Chelsea. And YES it has something to do with Man City because they are our 'rivals'

Kirby, it's not as simple as you make out. There are certain players who will go to clubs expecting to be first choice, others will be content with a lesser role. Shaqiri is happy because of his situation with Stoke. Mahrez had been desperate to leave Leicester for a couple of sessions. Other players wouldn't be ok with what those guys have been offered. Brandt famously rejected us because we couldn't offer first team football.

Yes we need a strong squad but getting a bench full of players as good as our starters is not realistic.

It’s a squad game now and I think that players at top clubs have to understand that.
It’s unrealistic to think that our front 3 can play every game so we should be looking to sign similar quality to rotate. If they perform they become first choice and play more it really is that simple.

There were definitely times last season when we started with the t'riffic triumvirate and in the end being able to bring one of them on, fresh when everyone else is lagging would have changed a couple of results, in my opinion. Think of the impact Salah had when he came on against Stoke and won the game for us. Rotation isn't a bad thing when done correctly. Sure, start them in the main, but having a squad of top players keeps competition for places and all players looking to impress, not just resting on their laurels.

I'm not saying we need to sign anyone else, by the way. Just reiterating Kirby's and BB's points.

Has Mane signed that contract he was offered last month? If not, then Bailey interest makes sense.
