What ever happened with Chirivella? I thought he was sold to Rosenborg, but he's in the U23s match today.

{Ed002's Note - He opted not to make the move, but a transfer to Celtic in Scotland beckons.}

Would it be permanent or a loan, any info on that Eds? Big ups to the kid for what ever reason he decided against the move a lot of players would have. Pedro ain't a kid no more so hope this turns out well for him like Hendo and the Fulham show and he doesn't end up like Borini with his Sunderland episode. Kinda got me thinking how these kids get taken to foreign land ( in the sense that new life changing decisions will be taken) only find broken promises and lack of proper plan in place for the . I get that money and agents significant role but we talking human lives. We idolize them and to certain envy them but when you look at people like Gary Speed you realize that these kids have every day emotions, challenges and tribulations.

{Ed002's Note - I am pretty sure it would be permanent as he has no future at Liverpool. As for your more general comment, you are right that it should be more of a concern than it is. Some countries, like Brazil, have restriced moves abroad until the player is 18. Others allow younger players to move if their families move and have jobs not provided by the clubs. Most require education needs to be met in line with national standards - which is what happens in England regardless of language barriers etc.. But there are much more stringent rules coming. Manchester City got away wilth an issue last year by the skin of their teeth when an Italian passport of convience came to their rescue (as the rules discuss such passports but only in terms of adults). Interestingly Pipco is going down that road right now. But as you say, and certainly when moving to a country with an entirely different culture, language, food etc.. And clubs need to recognise when they send players abroad they need to keep a close eye on them to make sure they don't end up spending too much time alone playing electronic games. For instance there was a problem with a couple of players on loan in the Netherlands (where they were simply sat around in apartments for hours on end) and that resulted in the club concerned having them get involved with spending some time with the local community (schools and charities) and putting someone out there for a couple of months to steady everything, and get them playing golf etc.. A very good point, thanks.}

Thanks on the detailed response Eds, Iam glad teams seem to have recordnised the issue and importantly actively working to words some sort of improvement. Some times Iam just left star struck from reading your response . Legendary stuff. Keep well.

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome.}
