Hi Ed, you explanied our interest in Ramsey and i've read on the Arsenal page the contract situation. Do you think we will push to sign him in January? Appreciate its a timing question but given his situation I woukd think it needs resolving one way or another quite soon.

Thanks in advance.

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea about any "push" in January - which is when he can talk directly to any non English and Welsh sides, I suppose most notably Milan. But it is of course possible that Liverpool may look to a move for him in January, I am not aware of the club looking specifically at making changes this coming January. There is nothing to stop Liverpool making his representatives aware that they would be very keen to take him in the summer. As I have also said, I would not totally rule out the player staying where he is.}

I would think the most likely scenario is that he'll stay at Arsenal. I just can't envisage him moving away irrespective of the rumours and stories.

He's started the season well and he's a talented player on his day, but I do worry about his injury record and past disrupting changing rooms. Still, he'd add goals to the midfield which is one of our only issues. Additionally, I saw similar criticism labeled at the Ox (though I was a fan) and Shaqiri (Who I was not a fan, but have been pleasantly surprised) so you never know.

I agree with you Reynard, I see the situation going more the way of Ozil then Sanchez.

{Ed001's Note - difference is Arsenal pulled out of the Ramsey contract talks.}

Thats definitely worth noting Ed001. Ed002 stated that a general agreement was reached but that concerns were expressed over his "comportement", which lead me to believe that this may have been why Arsenal pulled out. I'm personally of the belief that this will result in Ramsey keeping his head down and getting to work, ultimately sealing the new contract. But you're right, its definitely something to consider. Especially under Emery who won't afford him the same luxuries Wenger did.

{Ed001's Note - it was why Arsenal pulled out, as he said. I have mentioned before on the Arsenal site that this has been a long term issue with the player, resulting in him refusing to pass the ball to certain players in the past.}

Hi Ed001. We are a long way from reality on this one mate but how do you think he would fit in if he were to arrive please? And who does he play instead of.

{Ed001's Note - I don't think he would, he is too far up his own arse and would no doubt vanish up there.}

I can’t see the point in signing Ramsey. He’s not better than anyone already at the club, lacks the vision and passing to be a proper number 10, I’ve never seen him have a good game unless it’s against poor opposition. If we are after an centre midfielder who can create and score goals, get Fekir or Neves, not a carthorse like Ramsey.
