Eds,

Do you think it is possible for Liverpool to have a significant outlay on one player without first selling? (E.g Lacazette etc)

Is it a matter that the club would have to sell first with regards to FFP or would it be possible for the owners to take on more debt and spend circa 30m+ on a player?

{Ed001's Note - they need to sell, the owners taking on debt would not get round the FFP.}

If we can sell Balo, Borini, Lambert, Aspas, Alberto, Allen, Enrique and few other unwanted players, then i'm sure the owners would consider an expensive purchase like Lacazette. Actually i would be very happy if our 2015 summer transfer window purchases involve just Lacazette and a top notch GK. Selling 10 or so players should fund a majority of the cash required for 2 top players. Its time the club stopped buying in bulk and instead go for fewer but better players.

Agree with IB in principle that would prefer we bought less players of high quality and tbf doesn't always have to be an expensive buy (studge, couts, tadic, etc).

Imagine with players out of contract plus the ones being sold there will be 10+ players moving on, but will probably end up with £40-50m and imagine would need nearly all of that to get lacazette. So still would need a keeper and if lucas goes a DM

We couldn't get lacazette, but if we could trade the strikers he mentioned for him I would! He has 20 leagues goals already this season (our team has 31), is 23 and can play anywhere across the front 3.

If we did that this summer would leave us with: Sturridge, Lacazette, Origi, Sterling, Ibe, Sinclair, and Yesil who could all play striker. but again isn't going to happen he is leading Lyon's title challenge and will have bids from a host of top clubs this summer, plus will probs cost £30-40m

Tonkz99, did Origi just drop dead by chance or what? U think a strike force of Lacazette, Sturridge and Origi is not good enough? And keeping the likes of Lambert and Borini is not going to improve results one bit. So yes, i think getting rid of all those unwanted strikers that i just mentioned for Lacazette or someone of similar quality will improve the squad qualitatively rather than quantitatively.
