Eds, A question to you.

Where you think Milner would end up? And what's going on at City. He has proved me enough of his ability and quality.

{Ed001's Note - not sure, he looks certain to stay in the Prem, but I don't know where he will go. It will probably be a while before that becomes clear.}

Milner was a cm before being moved to the wings in city no?

{Ed001's Note - other way round mate, he started off playing wide, though he always wanted to play central. I think, if I remember rightly, that he did play a lot of youth football in the centre, but he just got given his shot at Leeds on the wing as that was what they needed. I might be wrong though, it was a long time ago now.}

Doesn't have the discipline to be like Lucas and if anything he's too similar to Henderson and at 29, I think he's the wrong age. I do seem to remember another England international midfielder coming in on a free from an Oil team who wanted to play centrally working out quite badly in the recent past, so I'd rather dodge this one as it has bullet written all over it.

The one time Milner has been given a consistent run in the middle of the park was for Aston villa, with that form prompting city to pay the price they did for him. A good player who has improved in his time, on a free I would take him in a heartbeat as a box to box midfielder. His form got Aston villa as a cm was excellent.
