Been a while since I posted (depression of the Stoke loss still reverberating in my home. ). New signings look sensible to me (Clyne will be solid RB, Milner a solid reliable midfielder, Firmino can hopefully offer what Lallana did too inconsistently last season. Obviously a striker is still necessary (and all due respect to Ings, who will be a welcome addition for Europa and cup games). Benteke wouldn't be a bust in my books, as the guy can score goals, without question. I would prefer a more mobile striker who fits better with our system (a younger F. Torres, L. Suarez and perhaps, just perhaps, L. Messi would fit the bill), but if that is not on the cards (I am looking at you Lacazette. ) then Benteke will offer us a powerful striker who is better than our current crop.

As for GK, I think Mignolet has enough potential to stay as number 1, but clearly needs better coaching, and as for the defence, we already have all the tools (despite the comments to the contrary) but they need to be managed better, and protected with a defensive midfielder (Can, now is your time to step up to the plate).

Although I agree with you Coop but we had good enough players in defense last season and the season before but we still ship goals like a bottom half team. What's going to change this year is my concern because three years of shocking defending is really an awful record.
