I'd accept 42m + around 4m to 8m in add-ons.

Before the summer began I would have been more than happy with £40m.

Alsong as strengthening the squad isn't soley dependant on sterling going I.e we can still get benteke for instance

And the club don't mind losing out on atleast 30 mil then they can.do what they want.

Take it. We're talking £5m and principle. We so no, they leave it. That's it. No one else is around are they? Roll on some months, while paying him to call in sick or play reserve football, he buys out. We lose what? £30m more? He wins we're dragged through an awful episode always tared with this buy out forever.

It's £45m. even if we only end up with £30m, that's still great. Main thing though is getting rid. Even Suarez didn't get to this. This is toxic, a cancer, this is as bad as it gets.

Take it with the proviso that he hands in a transfer request.

Id take their offer of 40 + m, he's not worth it, and with all the bs he's doing I'd be glad to get a bad egg out of the club

I think we've slightly stuck ourselves into a corner, saying unless a club stump up 50m, he's staying! If we give in and say OK to 42m+4 in add ons, will that show us in a bad light for other deals to sell our players? In my view, he's not worth the 40m, but without a crystal ball, nobody will know what his future holds!

I'd sell Sterling for £45 million(ish) all day and no problems. I'd actually be laughing about it as well. We are robbing Manchester City and they are the ones pushing for the deal, Sterling is a player with very good potential but he's never going to be great, in my opinion. Let's be real here, he doesn't hold a candle to the likes of John Barnes in his pomp and his attitude has been exposed as not very good, just like his shooting in one on ones. :D

If Sterling and Ward think they have a better future at Man City then great, we are getting an amazing deal, Sterling is going to be a trophy player for City like an old man with a young pretty wife, who's only in it for the money and golden trinkets they are afforded.

My only regret as a Liverpool fan is that we have only one Raheem Sterling to sell for that type of money. City are so stupid they have so many other players they could pay huge fortunes to get, who have better productivity, goals and play making ability but they want Raheem Sterling at a ridiculous cost and we are the ones who are going to benefit from it. God bless Raheem Sterling, thanks a million x 45. See ya!

Stirling has burnt his bridges. Time to go and good riddance. £45M fine. Just go.

i think we should take 45 mil (however it's made up), rationale as follows:
-We have to negotiate- city are playing fair here, £40 mil is a good second offer (not derisory at all), but we have to get more to show we are not week in the negotiation front. I think another £5 mil would make it a win win for city and liverpool.

On a separate note, I think it's a tragic move for his career, he is not ready for this move. We should cut him some slack, as he's just a kid that has been badly advised. Good luck to him, sooner he's off our hands the better, but good luck. Let's not be haters.

Good night and God bless.
