I hope these traore rumours are false and he doesn't come. Its disgusting to think of the lads we have waiting to come into the 1st team are being stopped in thier progress by another pointless loan signing. Has brendan not learnt his lesson that his loan signings are sh!te. Manquillo, cissiko, sahin, yet all the time we've had decent young lads raring to go. Pointless.

He would be an archetypal LFC signing under Rodgers. Talented, young, not needed and will eventually leave, frustrated.

I think you'll find that with all the teams that finished above us.

It's not necessarily a Rodgers thing.

Fair enough, Wenger has a go, but the rest treat the youth poorly.

Gotta disagree with this. I think he is somewhat needed as we clearly do lack in genuine out and out wingers with raw pace who can get to byline and cross the ball. This is especially important as we may need to adapt, at times, to the aerial threat of our 32.5m striker.

And to be fair OP, all the loan signings you mentioned, we were in need of at the time. There were not any youngsters coming through to strongly challenge the current first team RB, LB and CM positions at the time. Where Rodgers' fault was in not playing these loan players in their natural positions - Sahin should not have been consistently played at CAM, Manquillo is not a RWB, Cissokho just turned it to be poor considering he was decent at previous clubs.

Whatever happens with Traore, let's give Stoke a big surprise this weekend and field a team they can't contain!!!!!

AG has covered all the basis there, I'm afraid.

I appreciate your opinion guys but all the coaching staff we have see these young lads day in day out everyday, if these guys were good enough they would be there, now don't get me wrong there are plenty good enough but not all, and all are not quite ready either, is it really any harm having another young lad come in and have 3/4 18yr olds busting there balls to make sure there the one the manager picks. he's not going to cost us a fortune but in the long run it could be pivotal survival of the best.

Why do you feel the need to allude to other teams when we talk about our youth policy, Davey? We have no connection to how other teams do business.
