I would really love to see you debate with Jaimie Kanwar from Liverpool-Kop about the significance and accuracy of stats in judging a player. According to him, Skrtel is our best defender. because stats bro!

{Ed001's Note - I wouldn't waste my breath arguing with him, he has no idea what he is talking about. I read a few of his articles once and have never been back to his site. There are some great blogs out there that are football-based, sadly his is among the worst and he is just trying to be controversial for the sake of it as he has nothing useful to add to a conversation.}

I used to read Liverpool-Kop quite a lot and he is so full of S**t, the things he reports do not come true. i don't go onto that site anymore. James Milner has ran more than any other player in the premier league dosent mean he is our best player because of this, stats like that he always puts up. He just reports what is over the Internet and spices it up and puts his own view on it. don't waste your time reading it as you will 99.9% be wasting your time.

I only go on there to banter with the other commenters. His articles, sometimes I don't even read them. They're just irritating. He doesn't know the difference between critical realism and pessimism. If you tell him otherwise he hits the big red delete button.

He claims all his opinions are genuine and etc, but I just can't see how someone can continually have such left-field views on what is the simple phenomenon of football.

I often cite you guys when I talk about 'rumours', but apparently you aren't credible because your operations aren't based somewhere like Fleet Street.

{Ed001's Note - if he knew who Ed002 was, he would know how incredibly stupid that response is!}

You go around the internet and nearly every single reds fan who knows of him can't stand him. It's often easy to forget he actually follows the reds, because he never conveys any kind of emotional affinity with the club.

Okay will to be fair, he's not a reporter hahaha. He's a blogger. But his blogs are just full of rubbish. You see normal reds fans talk about the normal hard hitting issues, meanwhile there he is in that corner of the internet perpetually bitching about Rodgers' 'gross overpraise', like it's the most overwhelming problem to beset on the club at the moment, and how it's going to have absolutely dire impacts on performance levels. You know what he used to support that? Empirical studies on the effects of gross overpraise on children at school. Unbelievable.

Been on the lookout for any regular blogs or websites that have good analysts or writers who actually know what they are talking about.

Read a few articles on The Anfield Wrap and must say the articles are very different to the run-of-the-mill stuff on ESPN and other popular sites.

Any books/blogs/writers that you think do amazing writings on football?

Thanks a ton! I'll read them if you feel they are good.

{Ed001's Note - off the top of my head, the one I would recommend is swiss ramble. His blog is about the financial dealings of football, and it is excellent.}

Oh ed, I told him to check this website's track record if he didn't believe me, but he's really arrogant, and one of his replies was:
"that is not evidence; it is a website that runs on rumours, the majority of which anyone could make up and achieve a moderate success rate."

Yeah, right, because 'anyone' has the time to fabricate relatively convoluted and detailed financial information that ed002 feeds on this website.

{Ed001's Note - he just needs to grow up a bit. If it was possible to do that then newspapers would have a much better hit rate than they do.}

Jamie Kanwar blocked me for peristent sniping comments haha! I always used to attack his uneducated opininions and terrible journalism.

how about ones more actual football-centric?

{Ed001's Note - unfortunately I don't have a lot of time to explore blogs these days, so I am outof touch with the ones that are worth bothering with. Sorry. I only know Swiss Ramble because it was worthwhile putting that in favourites to keep track of, I have yet to find another blog that has been worth doing that with.}

Liverpool-kop is full of sh*te and never been back, unbelievably badly written and biased.

I also like TAW, particularly their ratings after the game which are very funny (and fair) but this is the only one I regularly read.

Ed001, now you've sparked intrigue about who Ed002 is ?
Some clues, American, over 50, male / female.
Is is Kaitlyn / Bruce Jenner ?

{Ed001's Note - if I knew who that was I might be able to give a better answer. Sorry but it is not them.}

I have a strong feeling that Ed002 is a lawyer who works in the football industry which explains why he knows so much about how the financial side works, how transfers work, and could also explain why he has inside information if perhaps he worked for an agent or an agent's company.

Am I right (or did I get close) Ed001 or Ed002 even?
