As much as I would like to have Texiara I think it may not happen because:

1. The owner of Shakthar has zero intention of selling and is known to increase prices. So after all our negotiations he may just increase it yet again.

2. Chelsea are still keen on the player and may just pay up to avoid getting in a bidding war with Liverpool or any other club. Plus they have been negotiating for a while now.

Anyways, still hoping that we succeed to get him as he would really improve our first team.

ED02 any fresh update or opinion?

{Ed002's Note - Nothing happened overnight.}

It ain`t going to happen and I`m personally fine with it. He`s not worth what they are asking for and neither Benteke nor Carroll were worth the amounts we paid for them. 38M for an uncapped 26 yr old in a poor league? No thanks! I say, let`s wait till the summer and see who we can get.

Look at how much we sold players for Torres 50m, suarez75m, sterling 49m
It tuck Stirling 3 tepts sold Torres one tempt and suarez one why not just try one more bid for this guy I has his heart set in a move to us that was a bit much but he wants to come one more bid 4th we should have him the price maybe high but at least whants to make the move come here if Liverpool what the player there is no ha4m in put one more last bid in it looks like us vs city in final ynwa.

The "we must have this or that player, no matter what the cost is" will never learn from recent history as they are doomed to repeat it. 38M on an uproven, uncapped 26 yr old in a poor league is just madness especially with our disgraceful record of paying stupid money for less value in players. So we should just pay that amount because "the player wants to come here"? It`s easy to say that when it`s not your money and FSG can NEVER be blamed for not putting up cash for the managers to splurge on so that excuse won`t fly. Andre Ayew begged LFC to sign him on a free and we looked the other way. Why? because he`s not good enuff. Should we had bought him then because he begged to come here? Your reasoning lacks logic, jonnyboy. Texeira may be a good player or become great in the future but no one really knows that for sure. What we DO know now is that he`s not worth the money being demanded and I applaud FSG and Klopp for sticking to their guns and pulling the plug on the deal, at least for now. In the summer, we can reconsider.
