Sorry to post this on here but I've searched up and can't seem to do d anything about it, it's not Liverpool related but I know the eds and readers are pretty knowledgeable about the game.

So after seeing the Messi/ Suarez penalty, I was directed to see the Cruyff/ Olsen version,
My question is though how come when Olsen plays it back across goal for Cruyff to tap in its not offside?

{Ed023's Note - Cruyff is behind Olesen when the pass is made}

Cryuff is behind the ball.

I think Henry and Pires version was the best.

Thanks, so if the ball is played backwards then it's not offside?

I didn't know, sorry. I googled offside rule and there was nothing about being allowed to pass backwards.

Messi was offside though.

Frisky: the ball must go forward and you must be ahead of the ball.

Also If you Do a Cruyff on a penalty shoot out, you actually get 2 goals aswel mate. It's an unwritten law that Ed002 brought into the game in 1965. Very rare though.

DBol u r spot on. I chevk up the rules and it does say 2 goals if u succeed with Cryuff pass penalty. Good job done.

You can't do a pass penalty in a shoot out. 🤔.

Hold on. 2 goals for one penalty? Can someone explain this? If it's real.

😳 well. obviously the 'penalty taker' passes it, then the player runs from the half way line and shoots. It's a lot easier if your own goal keeper shoots though, as he is behind the goal, Closer ain't he, football physics ect.
