I have a conspiracy theory.
When premiership teams like Liverpool, the mancs etc play a first leg away in Europe against inferior opposition would they contemplate not winning by 2 or 3 goals for fear of playing in front of a half empty stadium during the 2nd leg.
I've often felt players do not put in a full shift in such games and occasionally wondered if teams are under instruction not to finish off the tie in the first leg.
Both Liverpool and the mancs will be assured a full house for the return leg now.

Ye sure, this is why we didn't score yesterday.

Absolutely no chance.

Disagree. We have a cup final on Sunday and the last thing we want is another 120 mts at Anfield and more. Should have dispatched the game yesterday giving the senior players some rest in the second leg and games for the youngsters.
Now we have two crucial games in the span of 48 hours.

{Ed001's Note - we were never going to 'dispatch' the game yesterday.}

With our defense at times this season even if we had won 3/ 4-0 if we conceded an early goal at anfield it would still be nervous!

I think and hope Trevor is getting into the spirit of banter and joking about his theory, he's not daft 😄.
Old Trafford and Anfield would not be half empty at all and he knows it. 😉.
