I thought milner took one for the team red j. we moan when that the players lack aggression, I thought the ref was poor, he was to quick to book our players and had no clue about the penalty, the linesman had to tell him. agree with you about lovren and can.

Kk, I love your comments normally but I disagree here. Milner's two yellow cards were flat out stupid. The first one was a rush of blood to the brain, going for a ball he would never win. The second one was again an unnecessary tackle attack at the edge of the the OPPOSITION'S penalty box, in anger because he didn't get a foul call. That is not taking one for the team. That is stupidity and selfishnes as in, settling a personal score to the detriment of the team. He is known for that as he did the exact same thing vs Southampton at Anfield with Bertrand which caused the set piece that brought their equalizer.

I wouldn't call that taking one for the team. There wasn't any immediate danger for a tackle like that, especially when he's already on a yellow. The ball was still in Palace's half and we had covering defenders. It was just a stupid decision by him, which definitely surprised me given his experience.

Agreed with u Red J.

Lovren was phenomenal for me. And Can, I thought he was deployed as CB after Milner's red, but he was everywhere. I think we have another great engine in the team.

Ed01 was right, being young, frustrations come with the package. And he didn't frustrate me much in that game. He's growing.

Milner literally took 1 for the team. He knew we will play better without him. So he get himself send off.

{Ed001's Note - hahaha that is one way to look on it.}

thanks for the kind opening comment redhio I enjoy your views as well mate, as regards to milners red card I think frustration played a large part, I also think crystal palace got cocky when we went down to 10 men, after which we looked the better side. I have been critical of milner but he has played well recently and strangely the red card helped us.

Can is not outstanding. Lovren is. Can has been holding on to ball too long, case in pt when we counter attack 4 on 2 and he over run it.
