Hey Ed001 wishing you all the best mate. Money is a bit tight at the minute as quit my job to start a business and we are still in pre-launch phase but I chipped in a fiver to try and help (hope it helps somehow) .

Really appreciate all the work all the Ed's put in here and would love to help any way that means this page stays alive and they get paid for their efforts etc.

Probably been thought of, but have you considered changing the profile information for each person so they put in their postcode (not full address) and also tick boxes around different types of interests? The reason I mention it is that you can then email everyone a newsletter type thing each fortnight/ month (maybe just with the highlights or best gossip) but as you will have more info on us (like location and interests) you can then sell a bit of advertising space around the newsletter email. Companies will pay more to advertise in my experience if you can tell them specific things about the demographic that you are emailing.

Only a thought and you have probably looked at it before, but wanted to suggest in case (as our business may look at this model) . Always happy to help or advise with no charge if I can be of use

Best of luck Ed001 - as somebody else mentioned just make sure the little one grows up as a red! :)

{Ed001's Note - I have considered it, but just don't like those kind of emails when I get them, so don't want to make others put up with them. It is a very good way to make money though I agree. The problem you will have using it is to ensure that you can show people are actually opening the mails when they get them. You need to make the title intriguing enough that people will look at them. It is the most important part of any email.}

Ed1 I agree with your thoughts on email. I never open emails unless I am expecting them, even if the subject looks interesting. Too many risks .

Very true mate to be fair, emails can be a bit tricky.

Anyway hope all goes well with everything - sorry only could give £5 but hope it can go towards something to help mate.

{Ed001's Note - that was great mate, honestly it is very much appreciated.}
