Hi eds,
Just a quick one.
With Udinese having being turned down by Zielinski, after their bid would have been accepted (guessing so by the negotiations)
Do you think our bid reported by SSN of 9.5m will be accepted?
Hoping so, zielinski seems like a player we need.
Cheers, hope all has been well.

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea if they would drop their price for Liverpool Rob.}

I doubt that will happen with the shambolic way we have conducted ourselves in the negotiating process.

It beggars belief that the club conduct themselves in this manner. I would have hoped that the relevant Individuals might have learnt from previous protracted negotiations! What are they playing at!

Its a bit of a tricky one. On one hand we have the issue of Klopp tapping up the player and Ed002 quite rightly saying why would the club drop their price but on the other hand we have also been told by Ed002 that if a players want to leave then its best to move him on. Zielinski i think wants to come to Liverpool. So do they come to an agreement and sell or hold onto an unhappy player?

{Ed002's Note - No team wants a player who has had his head turned by an illegal approach from another side. If Liverpool want to use that to try and reduce the cost of the player they are even more of a disgrace than everyone in the business already thinks they are.}

Am i the only one loving the way we are conducting our business now? No longer we are overpaying for players with potential. Far too long have we acted nice, i. e. throwing money at players like Downing, Carroll, Benteke, Allen, Alberto, Aspas. the list is just frightening.

We don't live in an ideal world anymore. Look at United. They employed a classless man like Jose as their manager. But who cares? No one will say anything when he brings trophies. LVG and Moyes were nice guys but they were hated.

Anyway I hope we continue to try our best to get players at lowest possible price. We shouldn't care what others think. No one will give us players for free just because our reputation is good or we are nice.

mates mocked me for being too serious but personally worry about the way the club represents itself. Have worked hard from a young age and conducted myself professionally. As such I find it shockingly offensive when others don't.

Love lfc and with our rich history, passionate fans and status as a football club we should represent ourselves as such. Can't go around saying your one of the elite clubs without showing other clubs the respect due and conducting yourself accordingly.

Arrogance shows a lack of character and what is the point entering negotiations when you have no intent of paying what seems a reasonable fee for a player.

In the long term it's not about being 'nice' it's about acting with integrity. As well as being the correct way to operate, this brings benefits because so much business is ultimately based on trust as much as it is on power. Whilst I agree we don't want to overpay, because we made one mistake, we shouldn't be making the opposite one. Finally I want my club to stand for something. For a time I worked in the dock area of Liverpool. My colleagues, red, blue or unconnected, looked out for each other in a way that I haven't seen in other places. I don't care how other conduct themselves, I do care how we behave. (And on that note, this includes crowd behaviour esp Munich references)
