It's high time we play Stewart alongside Henderson. I always counted on him. The boy could tackle and break up the play and read it pretty well. Looked brilliant today.
Grujic another name should compete with Lallana in that role. Always looking to go forward and intentions set in movement.

I agree. Both looked very tidy today and seemlessly fitted in despite not much first team action so far this season. I know it was only one game, but it's hard not to get excited about our squad depth after that performance. All players made a big claim as to why they should be in and around the first team!

The first team is good as it is. So unless there are injuries or a player needs a rest or is out of form i would suggest leaving it as it is. Well done to the team tonight, the boys done well.

Great options to have as cover. what an exciting team! grujic to me will be the real deal, he looks excellent everytime I see him play. which of course mostly was pre season which we can't really go on but tonight he had a great game.

Grujic played well? , not for me sorry, thought he was anonymous to be honest, I was really looking forward to see him start as well. Getting almost full game will do him good though so look forward to him getting more game time.

Gini is a quality player and grew to the game tonight, needed that to get ready for Saturday. he is a linking player, good technique always on the half turn looking foreward and most importantly trusted by the manager.

Grujic did not have a good game tonight. I was really looking forward to seeing him play but the game simply passed him by, he struggled physically and didn't look fit enough. I'm a big fan of his from pre season but we can't judge him from tonight, he was poor, only one game though!

18and5 and Jord, what game Grujic were you watching? I watched him very closely and he was more than solid. His passing and tackling ability is decent and can pass with either foot long or short distance. I thought he had a solid night, IMO.
