Chelsea get soo many appludits but they're such an ordinary side. Man city truly exposed defensively. Aquero again losing his cool with a shocking tackle and city's best player now unavailable for 4 games.
Great incentive for us to kick on.

Let's not forget arsenal lads. They're a good side. I still think this is our year. If we can come out on top after spells without Coutinho and Mane then I think it's ours.

That's the key. How we manage the next two months without Coutinho initially and then Mane, later. I'm confident about Origi. It's the ideal opportunity for him to seize center stage. It's Sturridge that is the main worry. He'll be needed; and in peak physical and mental condition.

Man Citys poor defense made Chelsea look good. They had 2 shot on target with 10 minutes left in the game. Neither side worry me.

But nah, you still won't hear concerns from pundits about City's defence in relation to their title bid.

An ordinary side getting extra ordinary results Big Al? I thought they were brilliant in the second half and credit is where it is due.
Instead of moaning and making excuses Conte has got them play to his system in absolutely no time.

Anthony Taylor had an absolute mare, City should have been comfortable by half time and they only have themselves to blame but that was a dreadful performance by the ref.

Correct me if I am wrong. A very ordinary side won the title last season convincingly!

Seriously. Chelsea worry me. 8 wins on the bounce, including tricky ties against the champions, Tottenham, Man united and away at rivals Man City.

Those results are at least as good as the ones we have had to spark such optimism about Liverpool winning the league.

I'm not being negative. I think we are the two best sides in the league. And we beat them. I'm looking forward to the battle, but certainly there is no evidence to write Chelsea off.

Ridiculous. Chelsea have been excellent and are on top on merit. They have also played all of the other top 7 sides and have an easy 5 fixtures coming up and have a bigger squad than us. I think we have our work cut out particularly with Coutinho out until the new year, to stay close to them going into the new year.

Don't write them off Joe no but I certainly don't fear them. City could've had 4 today and Luiz should've been sent off. Thought the ref did Chelsea a massive favour there even Luiz knew it. They were lucky not to concede more against Spurs and even Boro should've had a couple against them. Mark my words they will start to drop points very soon, they are massively riding their luck.

Chelsea only impressed me in the way they took their chances but again, not surprising because they have the front line to do the business at any moment. They are on top on merit and nothing else.

However, I will say that they got completely hammered and exposed today and City should have been out of sight had they taken their chances and had the ref not completely bottled it and sent the awful David Luiz off. Their wingbacks were shown up as average and Kante was being owned in midfield as Fabregas was a ghost all game and offered no defensive help to Kante. Pep got his tactics right but was betrayed by luck and his defense.

Conte on the other hand, did nothing to change the game while his team was getting swamped and trust me, they won't be this lucky all season.

{Ed025's Note - hmmm, the green eye of the little yellow god would be a good read for you hamilton.. :)

I really can't believe Hamilton just said that Chelsea finished an intense 90 mts at Ethihad being lucky in between scoring 3 goals.
Oh My.

{Ed025's Note - oh my indeed..

Did you watch the game Harry? If city had taken their chances when they were on top, which was most of the game, this would be a different conversation. Fair play to Chelsea who played very well on the break but it should have been over. Luis was a very lucky man also.

There's nothing green eyed about it. Just facts. LFC thumped City 4-1 at the Etihad last season without breaking a sweat so I'm more than cool with that. Had City taken their chances, the smugness in your post would have disappeared.

{Ed025's Note - you stated that chelsea got battered yet they won 3-1?, hmmm thats not smugness mate,,,its sanity..

Rose tinted specs lads. I don't care how you do it, 8 straight wins in bpl with 3 goals conceded beating city, Utd, Spurs, Everton in the process? That's form to respect and certainly not to discount. If that had been our run, people would be waxing lyrical.

It's shaping up to be an exciting season for us but dictediring Chelsea and their run is ignorant.
