How would Alli take Wijnaldum's place? They are completely different players.
Alli would only fit in in the front three and he wouldn't displace Mane, Coutinho or Firmino

I agree with Putney, he would be in there over Wiji.

However if he was ours he probably wouldn't be that good, as considering our track record I doubt he would have been given the amount of game time at us. And then all the fans would be making excuses for why we couldn't possibly have started him in all the games or brought him into all the games and why after one poor performance he should be taken out of the squad for 3 months. Which would closely be followed by complaining about Spurs or Soton bringing through all this great young talent and asking why we never do, completely failing to see the connection.

If BR had signed him, he would have destroyed him by having him play wingback, DM or RB, like he did to Can and almost ruined his talent hence, no point asking what - if.

Flidby, Wiji's doing a good job for us but he's not doing anything exceptional. Alli's already a better player and is still improving, he would do what Wiji does plus contribute a lot more offensively. Having said that If I had my choice of Spurs players I'd take Eriksen as I think we could use his creativity more than Alli's goals.

I doubt All he could start in a liverpool 11.he is good at his attacking (positions in attack) but not that good at midfield. I would compare him to lampard. He can not control the game on his own. He needs supply like a striker. So to me he can not start at lfc at the moment. though I would still love him there. Delli can not perform any better than our 3 midfield ( hendo, gini, lallana) he can't out perform any of those. With all the love for him, he can't start in our 11. Don't even talk about our front three

It will be interesting to know Ed25's view on Can, Wij and their clubs if he feels Henderson has to go to Crewe.

Agree with Putney if you were referring to Morgan. Think he could be better than both Can and Wijnaldum.

If it's Dele, he has to vie for a place with Firminio.

{Ed025's Note - im not a big fan of can...or cant as i call him sam, wij is decent though but he drifts in and out of games, i would say that cant is a bolton type player and wij would be a big hit at stoke, you do have some great players though mate and couts could play for any team, studge at times is unplayable and matip and milner are also top quality...pity your keepers could not even hold a conversation though.. :)

He wouldn't have got the game time with us back when he was signed. Also ed025 you are dead wrong about Henderson, he would walk into your midfield and you know it.

Putting a team together is about balance and not just putting players in because you like them. Ali does well at Spurs because he has the freedom to get into the box on a regular basis. Its also all about how your team is set up. Very difficult to compare Ali with Gini when they do different jobs for their team.

Alli sorted braces in his last 3 games but he was very quiet up until then, I'd imagine he would have got a lot of abuse if he played for us with his early season form
