So conte hasn't made wholesale changes to their team and made improvements to the Chelsea team with his purchases all still within his first season at the club.

What is klopp's excuse?

This nonsense of klopp doing the best with the players that he had is nonsense. He has had the chance to buy but look at how we have been short changed, caulker (shocking loan) GW and klavan and karius is still to show up.

All he has been harping on about is long balls that the opposition team are playing, well at least those teams have a plan B.

Our plan A is a shambles, and we have no plan B

This isn't progress. Time to stop sugar coating the state our club is at by keep professing how lucky we are to have klopp.

Well clearly it is progress. We are in the top 4 at the minute which is a lot higher than we have finished in the previous 2 seasons. Is that not progress? To me it is a massive step forward, even with all the players you don't rate😉.

Look at the quality of the team he inherited.

who's to say we are going to finish in the top 4, we hope we will but by the time Mane gets back will we be too far behind to catch up again, put it this way i can see that the teams around us are all improving and playing better than us and winning and going forward, now look at us we have lost one player and we are not winning and going backwards and falling behind the likes or arsenal, spurs and man city and chelsea even man utd are going forward,

swansea had 3 shots on target we had 5 and the score was 3-2 to them, one thing klopp should have sorted out is to stop us panicking when the opposition start running at us or if we go 1 or 2 goals in front we always panic

Zalfc is right. We need a new coach, at least 11 new players and new owners! Do we have time to do all this before the season ends? I mean before they arrived we were winning championships left and right, participating in the champions league year in year out! Can't people see that ever since Klopp and our owners arrived it has been downhill from there?

mbrock. The OP is asking the question today, not at the end of the season. So we can't predict what is going to happen but only what we know so far. We have lost 3 games this season, much less than the previous 2 seasons. As it stands today its a massive step forward for the team, that cannot be argued. It is progress which the OP was refuting.

ZALFC, The Chelsea team is two seasons removed from a PL title with a very deep squad built over the past three seasons so your comparison lacks facts and context. Also, we are in the top four regardless of all our issues ahead of two teams who spent twice as much as we have in City and Utd so a bit of context is required here. We are struggling for diverse reasons and since we have a whole half season to go, saying we won't make the top four is very premature.

We have to just stick it out and show some more grit and fight vs lesser teams cos that attitude has cost us vs Bournmouth and especially Swansea where we showed no fight, no desire nor commitment all game.
