Klopp will be hoping that Tottenham don't park the bus today. I know that's not their style. But imagine if they did. They would win by a 3-goal margin. It has been effective for our opponents, hasn't it. Defend in numbers and hit our shaky defence with counter attacks. Klopp can play only one way.

{Ed025's Note - thats called counter attacking LH9, parking the bus means not attacking at all mate and is used by liverpool fans to excuse their forwards for being inept..

Sick of this excuse the reason why it seems like teams are parking the bus when we are in possession is because of how slow we are playing. Before Christmas we could be in the penalty area inside 10 passes. Yet now we are playing anything up to 40 passes and then resorting to a 30 yard shot.

What do you expect the opposition to do when we are passing it side to side? Sit half their players ahead of the ball making it easy for us?

Teams don't sit back against us because they want to. We are allowing them to get numbers back by playing so slowly. It's just a poor excuse. Our players are not up for it. Coutinho, Can and Lallana in particular (a few of the key players in terms of our transition into attack) are just not up for it right now. Until they start moving it faster then we are just going to continue to allow teams to get organised and then fail to break them down.

Ed25 is on the money. Teams were parking the bus against us in the first half of the seson and we were still battering them, bar the Burnley game as B'mouth game was us taking the last 15 mins of the game off after leading 3-1 without conceding a shot on goal. We simply were not playing with the same drive, passion and precision as we did vs Spurs today.

We blew them away in the first half and they were lucky it wasn't 4 with a Mane hatrick. In the second half, we simply turned to the dark arts (time wasting, slowing the game down and not pushing players and fullbacks forward mindlessly) to snuff them out and rendered their vaunted attack pathetically worthless. The lineup was spot on and that lineup should start every game (bar Lovren for Lucas) barring injuries.
