I grew up with the likes of Keegan and Toshack, Dagleish and Rush. There were so many Liverpool legends, Ian st john, Kevin Moran, Stevie Gerrard, Alan Hansen etc etc. My question is Ed1 if you're about, what did you think of Didi Amman. I don't know why, but I absolutely loved the guy, and thought he was a real footballer and nice guy. Was he as nice a guy as his persona seems to be.

{Ed001's Note - love him mate, he was my favourite player for a while, always gave his all on the pitch. Shame his coaching career did not work out, after he took on the Stockport County role and they had so many financial issues, he spent his own money keeping them afloat and paying bills for a while. He is a friend of my uncle's, so I can't really say anything bad about him without getting into trouble anyway! Luckily there is not really anything to moan about with Didi!}

Would that be the ex Bohemians and Manchester United legend Kevin Moran?

Great player and a leader on the pitch, Ed. Saw him make his debut from the Bayern academy in 1994 and was a promising prospect then. Awesome guy too, bar the odd tweet here and there, lol.

Sorry Redplanet, don't know what I was thinking there. Of course I meant Ronnie Moran. Great player, but the lasting memory i have of him was missing a penalty in 64 in the quarter final of the FA cup at Anfield against my home team Swansea.

Hamman was the man who won us the champs league imo. Made the difference.

Absolutely, it wasn't a stoke of genius, just a massive bit of luck that he came on and played the match of his life. A legend always.

Rafa won the CL pushing Gerrard up and bringing Hamann in the midfield and Boy he played a blinder.
