Hi Ed001 if you are around,

do you think we would be better equipped to take on burnley next week if we dropped Coutinho back to the middle and player Origi along side firmino and mane.

I think it would give us a few more options and coutinho would run the game with his eyes closed from there.

with milner coming from left back with his right foot and coutinho also right footed, we are turning in all the time, I know origi is right footed too but he is more direct.
6 home games left, need to clock up points, we will get top 4, very lucky arsenal and man u are very poor.

{Ed001's Note - no I don't, as that would be playing to Burnley's strengths. Origi has pace and power, which is what they are set up to deal with.}

Ok, haven't seen much of burnley to be honest, just thinking about us. huge game as 3 points will put us 6 ahead of man u with better goal difference, i know they have 2 games in hand away to city and southamton, can't see them catching us, they have blown a few chances to get up the table now. I know arsenal looked poor yesterday but they always seem to pull results to get top 4, can't rule them out. won't matter what they do if our attitude is right for the remaining games.

Thanks for your opinion and thanks for your weekly game reviews.

Ed is right. Burnley are set up defensively in an old-fashioned style with two big CB's who are built to deal with aerial balls especially if you play in the Championship. I think we just need to start the game bright and sharp and try to get the early goal. But if we don't, the question becomes, "How much are we willing to work for the result? " This is where we have faltered of late.

Remember we played Sunderland who parked three buses at Anfield like Hull, WB and even CP away did and we still got the wins. Why? cos we were patient, didn't give up and lose our heads nor did we make mistakes at the back. The reason we have faltered b=vs lesser teams of late is cos we have lacked patience and self belief as soon as the opening did not come early. We must learn to do this again vs lesser teams.

Vs Burley tho, we need to have Mane as an oulet for one-two combinations, move the ball quicker and have third man runners from midfield into the box to draw defenders out of position. Remember in the first game, Burnley only parked the bus after they got an early goal and got the second of a counter attack. That CANNOT happen next week.
