Ed002 ypu mentioned ledt wongers further down the page.

Also are we looking for a left footer or no preference?

{Ed002's Note - I have told you the players Liverpool are interested in and all you did was trash them. You are just coming up with random names - nothing to do with Liverpool.}

Just pointed out some failings tbh as a lot of fans wherw already tipping said player as the next messiah.

We have better.

Thanks for the response!

Julian Brandt, Rafa Silva and Malcom seemed the most likely from the podcast.

Rafa Silva at 24/ 25 years old, is an instant improvement to our first team. Real top quality player. He has pace, excellent control, finishes well and has a sublime weight of passing. Always looks to turn and go forward as well.

Brandt and Malcom would offer more balance to the front 3 than we currently have in Coutinho but at 19/ 20 they are much more raw.

Ed002 also mentioned Jacob Murphy, who I had never heard of to be honest. Internet search suggests he is a right winger though and also quite young at just 22. Additionally, Inaki Williams was mentioned but he is a striker who can play right wing and doesn't really do enough for me to justify the hefty price on his head.

Rafa Silva doesn't score enough for all the talking and skills he shows on the pitch. Another player who cut inside very much like Coutinho.

Never heard about both Malcom and Murphy but it looks like we are going the same route again. But U19's on bargain price and polish then to sell on a higher money.

I am sorry if you really want to challenge the likes of Chelsea, UTD and City next year you need much more than kids who will buckle up on pressure.

What is Klopp thinking?

We should be looking at the likes of Insigne.

I would rather harry Wilson on Ojo than kids of other clubs.

Agree with Harry here. I will be disappointed if the club splurges more money on more teenagers this summer. We need proven talent that can deliver immediately for the next 3-4 seasons while Ojo and Co mature. Not more youngsters to compete 3-4 seasons from now with the huge number of youngsters already at the club. Players like Malcom and Murphy hopefully will not come here and block Ojo and Woodburn's progress. Why not just spend a little bit more on the likes of Douglas Costa who would deliver instantly and provides the width and pace our frontline so desperately needs in Mane's absence?

I am literally disappointed with the our targets for the summer atm. The names Boss mentioned on the podcast wouldn't improve us one bit except Brandt who is going other way.

The club have learned nothing from the past. It is a plonker idea to buy kids from other academy when you have an expensive facility with you.

There is a reason Arsenal over the years has won nothing.

Can someone explain me why are we buying sesaangon when he wouldn't start for the first team?

Insigne will be very expensive and trust me, you don't wanna deal with the Napoli owner DeLaurentis. He is a nuts. Just ask Rafa. We should be targeting players who not only can improve us but most importantly, want to come here. Not sure Insigne fits the bill.

We got Matip, Mane and Wij who are not really household names worldwide BUT have improved us tremendously. Said type of players is what we need, not random names of young players seen on the web or youtube or players who don't wanna come here.

Rafa Silva definitely scores goals Harry. He usually averages a goal every 4 games over the course of a season. He matches that with a similar number of assists as well.

He missed the first half of the season with injury this year, but has come back flying and looks to be getting back to his best. He isn't injury prone by the way for anyone worrying. He is a 40-50 games a season player normally.

He would be a very good signing in my opinion.

I have faith but the level of players we're being linked with compared to the players the teams we're trying to compete with quite worrying. I'm all for building for the future, but surely we need players who will improve the team with immediate effect.? Just a bit worried about being left behind, I guess.

NB, haven't listened to the pod yet - will do on the way home.

TQ if you ever are worried, then just remember we signed Mane and Gini for about half the price of Pogba and Mkhitaryan.

The status of the player is really not that important.

Fair point, although money's not the issue as Utd can clearly afford it. And when you hear them being linked with the likes of Griezemann, you can't help but be a bit worried.

I take you point, though; big names don't always mean top quality.
