Even in his youth, Defoe wouldn't fit our team structure as he is quite lazy and shoots time and again hnce, lacks the game inteligence to know when create an assist or try and score, said game intelligence that Firmino possesses and that Origi has potential for. Defoe is simply not better than Origi and does not have the skill set Origi possesses so no thanks. NEXT.

Sorry eds I disagree with that but everyone is entitled to their opinion. I think he would be a decent edition on a free but it's only discussion. won't happen. Scoring 14 goals for sunderland is no mean feat and I think origi and defoe are totally different players. hard to compare. I love divock and I hope he gets a few more chances.

If we were to have taken a punt it would have been best prior to him going to the US a couple of years ago. However we are top scorers in the league so don't think that's the issue.

Be brilliant off the bench and who better for origi to learn off. Infact origi xouls of gone the other way for 6 months of first team football.

Your not always building for th3 future with signings and the only person to work that out seems to be fergie.

You can sign for now. definitely and 7 goals would of been a welcome boost.

Personal opinion: I think young players learn more from playing than they do watching or training with players in the twilight of their career.
