Really hope we are genuinely interested in Kasper dolberg he is a mix between torres and Suarez.

He will want regular 1st team football. Dolberg signing means the end for Origi at LFC.

Indian why would it mean the end for Origi? We only have two fit strikers or are you assuming the studge and ings are going to get back to full fitness by the start of the new season.

Or maybe Sturridge / Ings. Why would people worry about current players if the new signing is head and shoulders above them? Dolberg is a terrific player and would walk into most teams with ease!

Ings will be back by October latest. Firmino is 1st choice, Origi will at least want to play when Firmino is not available so if Dolberg signs then Origi gets pushed back even further. Plus neither Origi nor Dolberg can play out wide effectively so its one or the other.
Personally if Dolberg was attainable, then I would choose him over Origi.

{Ed001's Note - Ings will not 'be back' for a year at least. No player comes back from an injury like that so quickly. It takes a long time to get anywhere near their best, sometimes years.}

Dolberg has 20 goals in a shockingly poor league, playing for the best team in it.

He is just Depay/ Janssen/ Assaidi/ Bony Mk2. He'll get an inflated transfer to a big team, struggle to get in the team and get sold on after a season with a handful of goals.

Extraordinarily average player. In that division you should be hitting 30 plus a season with ease. Even Kuyt managed that and he was hardly clinical. Suarez scored 49 in his last season! That is over twice as many goals as Dolberg and yet he came to England and scored just 11 league goals in his first season, such was the jump in difficulty.

Dolberg should stay where he is for at least another 3 years or risk doing a "Milik" and becoming a bench warmer. If in 3 years he has developed well and is snoring 30-40 a season, then maybe he is worth considering.

People really need to consider the division he plays in. Wijnaldum was scoring over 20 a season in midfield!

Consider that he's 19 as well MK and that he's a regular starter. He is not really like any of the players you mentioned either so I'm not sure the comparison other than as an example of players who did well in holland then came to England. If that's the case then there is quite a few players that came from the Dutch league and have done well in England. I'm not sure he's ready for our first team at all but I rate him. Like the op said he reminds me a lot of a young Torres. Nice turns and direct powerful running at defenders. I agree that he would be competing with origi but there's nothing wrong with healthy competition. Ings won't be back and up to full speed and match sharpness for ages if ever unfortunately and it looks like sturridge might leave which is sad. If anything it would hold Brewster back but he's only just made the move up to the u23's so that's ok for me. I'm torn between wanting him because I think he can be quality or wanting to sign a ready made front man. Because I like firmino there tbh.

and you’re basing this on? unless you can confidently say you watch Ajax play regularly I fail to see what input you can offer on the player. Fantastic talent especially for his age (just 19 years old) . Milik is back from a bad injury and will naturally take time to get back to his best, while wijnaldum never scored more then 14 goals league goals in a single season.

Great talent, shame we're not interested.

{Ed001's Note - when he returns to training. It takes a long time after returning to training to get anywhere near their best. The latest research has shown that the brain alters its internal structure after a bad injury like that, which you then have to retrain to move normally.

Wijnaldum across 4 separate seasons (not on the bounce mind you) scored in all competitions 14, 20, 18 and 14 goals. His first 14 league goals was at 20 years old from central midfield in a team who at the time were behind Ajax and Twente in the league.

Dolberg plays for the best team in the division as an out and out striker and has 14 league goals with the season pretty much over.

Don't get me wrong, he has potential. I just don't think it is wise to sign a player from the Dutch league off the back of one average season. It is so weak defensively that even Chirivella has rocked up for one of the divisions light weights and started scoring goals!

I'm not rubbishing the kid, just think it is way too early for him to make the jump. He needs to have patience.

His goals have almost all come against the weaker teams in the Dutch league, the unusually average Europa league opposition, and against League 1 level teams in Champions league qualifiers.

You have to remember that the Dutch league is about the same level as the Premier League u23's league. I'd rather gamble on Harry Wilson or Rhian Brewster to be honest. At least if they don't live up to expectations it costs us nothing.

Far too early for Dolberg in my opinion. Maybe he goes to Everton next season and proves me wrong, but in my opinion he is a 5-10 goal a season player at best right now. He won't take us to the next level, and isn't even as good as our 4th choice Striker.
