Ed what did you make of coutinho today I thought he run the game and should be playing there with Lallana the other side to make us have people who what to pass the ball forward.

{Ed001's Note - I have always said I prefer him playing in a deeper role, though I did think at times today he dropped too deep. I like him in central midfield, he works hard and is like a little terrier yapping at heels, makes some good tackles too. I would like him to play deeper if we get a left winger. At least sometimes, depending on the opposition.}

I'm pretty sure that when he made his debut (against Swansea I believe) Coutinho ripped the opposition to shreds from a deeper role.

Couts has shown during the 2014 title challenge that he can play in the CM position in a diamond cos he has space when playing from deep with runners ahead of him. He is also gritty, gets stuck in and tracks back to help the defence. Klopp already said he is looking for wide men in the summer so maybe Couts will be drafted in at CM is stages next season esp. vs the bus parkers.
