I agree, would of preferred Douglas Costa instead of Salah but can't complain too much. Although if Lacazzete were still available and we sold Sturridge I would be biting the owners arm off to get that deal done.

I believe Mendy has all but signed for City according to reports for around £40 million so, onto next LB targets.

Not many left backs out there to be fair. Mendy would of been perfect in an ideal world or even an Alex Sandro from Juve but that would be dreaming. Realistically we should look at the likes of Hector, Ghoulam or Ricardo Rodriquez.

Liverpool4life, the LB option of Rodriguez and maybe Ghoulam, are not good enough as they cannot defend at all. hector is now playing the DM position for Koln but LB for Germany so don't know how that would work here either. Mendy has improved since his Jekyl and Hyde days at OM and glad to see he has developed to a very good LB. I hope the stong Ricardo Pereira interest will yield something as he is just as good if not better than Mendy. Also, he is two footed and can play the RB/ LB positions easily.
