Shoot me if this is a stupid question.

Badstuber is now a free agent.

Would he be a last minute target should Gomez go on loan and Sakho be sold (presuming we do not bring someone in before hand)? Or does his injury history make this a complete no go?

He's a free agent for a reason. He has been plagued by injuries his whole career. There was a time he did not play for close to two years and was still called up to the national team by Low (who is loyal to some of his players like he was to Klose even tho, he couldn't get a game at Bayern) . I would stay well clear of him.

He was fit for the second half of last season and loaned out to schalke and he didn't even played there.

German media reported that he will probally go to Swansea.
